Genmaicha - Delicious, excellent quality
Excellent tea and worth the wait. Great price for the quality. I drink a lot of Genmaicha and this one meets all expectations. nice delicate green flavor paired with delicious roasted rice.

Excellent Hot or Cold
This is a review of the organic Gunpowder Green variety. The tea is great. The leaves are rolled in attractive balls that release as water hits them (explaining the gunpowder name). I enjoy this either hot (steeped for about a minute with 180 degree water), where I frequently have enough flavor left for a second steeping, or as a cold brew tea. You can find lots of recipes online, but this makes an almost perfect replica of the Itoen brand iced bottled teas. Very refreshing and crisp on a hot summer day!

A great tea choice - Recommend!
I didn't realize how big a bag of tea this is. It's huge and when I got it I was like well I hope I like it. Opening the bag, first appearance, I was like I don't know this doesn't look amazing. Well I brewed it anyway because I was this far down the road and SO GLAD I did. The tea tastes wonderful. I've been trying to incorporate green tea for health benefits and along the way I've grown to appreciate after my mornings with coffee of course! Who says you can't like both? I'm still a massive coffee fan but this tea is really good. I'm not one of those people who can tell you all the hints of flavor and nuances but I do get a light lemon taste and it's very good. It's also loose leaf which is now the only way to go since we know how much plastic is released by most tea bags. I'm impressed. It will take me quite a while to use this bag but at least I made a great choice.

Good size great price
Decent tea. Arrived fresh but lacked potency. 4 stars because it is the best price around and it is organic apparently. The aroma is quite strong but the taste lacks.

Quality tea
Very rare and quality tea (unlike most teas of this brand). The main trick is not over-steep it. Use water under boiling (as for oolong tea) and brew 2-3 minutes - this will give you a very nice light evening tea with flowery aroma and mild taste. Later I do second brew for much longer (~10 minutes) and it makes a good darker morning tea with a "kick". The main problem with this tea is that if brewed for long, it will make it bitter, so the bad reviews. Currently it is no longer available, but I hope that Davidson's will be carrying yellow teas in the future.

Earl Grey Green 🔥
I have been looking for Earl Grey Green since 2009, after having it from a local tea shop. I'd long given up by now (it's currently January 2026) to ever find it out in the world. While browsing on Amazon for some new green tea, I stumbled upon this brand. I liked their varieties, and the brand itself seems "legit." Well needless to say when I saw Earl Grey Green I bought it within a second. I eagerly awaited my delivery that contained other items, but this Earl Grey Green was the main attraction! Once I got my delivery I immediately made a cup. It was DIVINE! Ah, the amazing smell and taste of this tea brought back wonderful memories of 2009 with my best friend in the tea shop. The next time we hang out she will be enjoying this tea as well! I will for sure be buying more teas from this brand! The bags are large at 16oz, but the quality and taste assures that it will be consumed fairly quickly. I'm looking forward to trying more of Davidson's Tea!

Excellent value - can't tell the difference from premium brands
I switched to Davidson's Tea Bulk Genmaicha from Harney & Sons, and I honestly can't tell the difference in quality or taste. At $0.87 per ounce compared to Harney & Sons at $1.95 per ounce, this is incredible value for the same great flavor. I've repurchased this several times now, which speaks to how satisfied I am with the quality and consistency. I usually mix two heaping tablespoons of the genmaicha with a heaping tablespoon of Assam to make a pitcher of iced tea, and it creates a perfect blend every time. The 16-ounce bag is a great size for regular tea drinkers, and the bulk packaging keeps costs down without sacrificing freshness. For anyone looking for quality genmaicha at a fraction of the cost of premium brands, this is an excellent choice. I'm definitely sticking with Davidson's going forward.
