Murphy Bed - Classic Horizontal Wall bed - Fold Up - Space Saving Folding Bed Frame - Pull Down (190cm x 120 cm)

This bed has essentially given me an additional room in my home. I live in a small two bedroom flat, with the second bedroom having just enough room for a double bed and small walkway, used for guest visits. Whilst the space in that room used to be a write off 95% of the time, it's now a useful space, and I no longer have to leave my clean clothes out on the airer in the kitchen! When folded down, it's a perfectly sturdy, functional and comfortable bed. I haven't received a single complaint of creaking from any guests, which can sometimes be an issue with metal bed frames. When folded up, the bed has maybe a 30cm deep footprint, which just gives me so much space in my guest room. Whilst the bed certainly isn't a decorative piece, it's also not a massive eyesore when it's tucked up to the wall. Moving the bed between these two states is relatively effortless thanks to the gas pistons. Whilst this frame is definitely on the pricier end of the spectrum when it comes to bed frames, it's honestly one of the best value investments I have made in my home just because of the extra space it's given me. Read the instructions thoroughly and check the orientation of parts before attaching them together, because there was at least one instance where I had put something on upside down. Also, assembly is definitely a two person job. I assembled it by myself, and it was definitely a stretch at times! Despite the difficulty, I still had everything together within a couple of hours. One of the complications you will come across is how to secure it to the floor and/or wall. If the floor isn't possible, then it will need to attach to the wall. I would recommend some big 8mm bolts into 12mm wall plugs, because there is some serious force behind the pistons in this frame! Skirting boards will likely be a pain here, because the top holes will need some kind of spacer, it would be great if Wallbedking could come up with some kind of solution for this, but not easy because every skirting board is different! All in all, I am really pleased with my purchase, and would definitely buy another Wallbedking bed in future.

The design is great and the motion is smooth - really excellent design work. However a few things I wish i'd known before I got it to make set up less stressful - it is not optional to secure to floor or ceiling which need to be brick concrete or wood. They do not provide the fixtures for this. Most flatpacks provide the tools you need, this one doesn't. You need several sizes of wrench, a screwdriver and ideally a mallet - you also need whatever you use to put in the fixtures to wall/floor. The video I was sent with set up instructions was the wrong one - I had to find the right one on their youtube channel. There were minor changes to what was provided to what was in this video, which was not especially clear - i'd say it's fairly easy to set up so long as you've done plenty of flatpack furniture builds before. If not, get help. While the design is great, the production quality wasn't - four holes needed drilling because they hadn't been cut properly and I couldn't get the screws in. Finally, a few minor parts were missing and i've had to request them. Not integral, but they allow me to strap the mattress to the frame. Great bed once it's in place, but lots of unnecessary annoyances along the way.

Due to being over crowded i purchased this bed to turn our bedroom into the front room so my children could have there own rooms and we could still have a living room without having to sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed. Delivery was so fast I had the bed in a day or 2 the delivery guy was very friendly. I dread putting furniture together so wasn't looking forward to building it but it was so easy to put together and didn't take long at all we followed the youtube tutorial video and paused it while we copyed along. I had my dad bolt it to the floor and that was it super easy. it's so quick to put up and down it takes seconds and the pistons take out the effort I can do it one handed! I was worried about sleeping on it at first as I am a larger lady but the bed is solid and comfortable it took my simba mattress no problems it's so sturdy where its bolded I don't worry about it falling while it's up either I have no complains and I would definitely recommend this bed if you need extra space like we did I don't know what I would of do without it now

The bed was part assembled on delivery and there were quite clear instructions on how to install it. We had exactly 1 metre gap between fitted wardrobes and it slotted in with no problems. We bought a good mattress separately - 25 cms deep - and it folds up easily even with the quilt etc on, as long as you put the strap round. The mattress stop at the head end of the bed is rather flimsy and we have had to put a second strap round to stop the mattress falling down the back when in the vertical position. It is easy to pull down (helps if you are tall!) and stays down. It is used every night and is an excellent purchase at a good price.

Finally got round to installing this bed but the instructions were sorry to say horrendous! There needs to be better photos and they pop in plastic clips to hold in the slats are so cheap they flop to the left or right as you try it push them in! But once build it’s very structurally safe.

My son has a small space and this truly opens up the usable floor space when he is not sleeping! Sturdy and easy to attach to wall
