Gave to my 10 year old granddaughter. She picked up on the knitting pretty quick but attention span at 10 was about 10min+ but she came back to it. Every once in a while so we will see if finished by next year. She at least learned how to knit. Great product. Very happy with instructions and material.

I have been crocheting for many years and my hands would hurt so much so I had to stop. When I was younger I tried to learn knitting but the casting on seemed so complicated and tedious that I stopped learning and moved to crochet. Even with low expectations this kit taught me the quick basics. And it was actually enjoyable and easy. I made only a few changes instructions say 12 stitches the box shows about 15. So I did 15 this is probably so u get a decent length because at 15 stitches it would seem a bit short so I didn’t sow the pockets. I do like a longer scarf so for me it was nicer with out the pockets. The yarn is really soft. And the two different needles does actually help to learn as well as having a nice thicker yarn. I actually completed a knit project and I couldn’t be happier. I think the price is very good. I didnt even use the extras. There is a nice label to sow on and I used my own needle to sow in the ends. But it does come with everything u need to get started. U only need something sharp to cut the excess yarn off.

This is a terrific product. It comes with good instructions, fuzzy pretty yard, nice size plastic needles. However for someone learning to knit for the very first time I found the materials difficult to work with. The fuzzy yarn slips off the plastic needle and the fuzziness makes checking stitches hard. I bought this kit first but in the end I purchased smaller wooden needles and thin, not soft, cotton yarn to learn how to knit. Maybe when I have my stitches really down I can come back to this kit and make a cozy scarf.

This kit was great for a beginner like me! All the materials were included and there were paper directions as well as links to online videos that went through each step to make the scarf. The yarn is why I’m giving this product three stars. The yarn did fray and split at the ends a little. There were also two knots in the yarn that was annoying to work around. But, for a beginner, the yarn is functional enough and the material is super soft and colorful! I’d recommend the scarf kit for beginners if you’re not too picky about the yarn quality.

I've tried to learn to knit for years, from videos and tutorials and even other people, but just could not follow along. The color-coded way they set this Pocket Scarf kit up is perfect - it made the instructions way easier to follow, and it makes the actual knitting easier to keep up with for me. I did have to reference one of their videos for clarification on one part of the process, but that was easy to follow as well. Also the yarn is nice & soft, unlike the scratchy stuff that I've encountered in other kits. Highly recommend for any beginner, at any age.

I took a knitting class and HATED IT! Everyone else loved it so it was obviously just not for me. I needed to go to an event where there was knitting so I got this kit. L O V E I T!!! I finished the scarf with ease and the mission was accomplished. The needles are nice and big for my 60+ year old hands and the yarn is perfect. Highly recommend this beautiful item.

I bought this for myself, and really learnt to knit after following the instructions. Highly recommended for both children and adults. Money well-spent!
