Great pen, tad heavy but comfortable in the hand and writes beautifully.Only 4 stars due to method of delivery. Was not as stated handed to resident, was thrown on doorstep.

I had been thinking of getting a fountain pen, when I saw this advertised, I jumped at the chance. My first pen is a work of art in itself. It is a little awkward at first, then realized the dragon head orientated the nib. The weight was surprising, but after some use, it feels really good.Packaging was very nice, making gifting easy. The only draw back, no instructions on filling, cleaning or if any special care is needed. Thanks to YouTube I figured it out filling, but still researching care and feeding.Filling is extremely easy, and I had a minimal mess for my first time. I use this mainly for pen and ink sketching, perfect!I love this pen, enjoy using it and admire the workmanship each time I pick it up.5 stars in any book.

It came packaged in a envelope, no padding and nothing to protect it from rough handling. I filled it with Waterman Brown Ink and started writing, then all of a sudden a big ole blob of ink spills out onto the paper. I cleaned it and again tested it, it seems if you "overfill" the screw type converter provided higher than a given amount it simply dumps it onto your paper, not good at all, but once the "proper" level was figured out (about 2/3 of the converter level) the pen performed fine. This pen is quite beautiful and hefty for such a cheap price with the detail work nicely done too. I think the reason the red eyes come loose or get lost, as I have read in other reviews, is that this is the general area you would grip the pen at when unscrewing the body to service the converter or to unscrew the cap off the pen. The cap is a little loose when you go to screw it down over the nib but tightens up fine. The cap is slightly less loss when you screw it down onto the post end, but once again tightens down fine. I feel overall this is a really good buy for ten bucks, you could do a lot worse.

We purchased this pen for our son who loves fountain pens. It a hefty pen and refills easily. It writes nicely too (although I’m not a fountain pen expert). I only gave it 4 stars because I find the design is right where I hold my pens which would annoy me for extended use but it’s not for me . Our son loves it!
