These lights are great, but as some have mentioned they do draw a lot of power at the highest setting. They provide plenty of light but keep in mind to run them at full intensity you will draw a lot of power Some reviewers stated the magnets didn't work, mine work fine but the included wrap ties are a much better solution for my needs. I bought the color change version and really like the option for other colors. I'm a frequent camper and being able to use this in my vehicle or tent was my goal when purchasing. I've used them on one trip now for inside my vehicle and these provide more than enough light. They come with a remote for changing the colors and I believe this is the only way to change the colors so don't lose the remote. I haven't used them outside of my vehicle but that was never my intention but they do have the capability. I purchased these on prime day and believe I got way more than monies worth, I will likely be buying more.

I've had this light now for almost 4 years and it's a great product and purchase that you can use in all kinds of settings. When I'm camping, all I need is this light at night and my tent becomes the coolest tent around (the tent is an orange gazelle tent). I also used it as light when I tried a few nights car camping...it's amazing, because you can chose from all these different beautiful colors and use the little yellow ties to tie the lights to the handles by the ceiling. I also use them at home (I plug it into a small reachable battery) and I have a variety of colors to chose for the night...depending on how I feel. It's such a great buy! Thank you

I liked the different colors and brightness settings. It really works well when camping. The only catch is that you have to bring along a USB power source. One of those little power banks will work well, but may only last one or two nights, depending on how long you leave it on. On the whole, pretty neat.

The 10 foot Luminoodle Color XL is a sweet, versatile light set. I’ve been using this every night, about 8 hours a night, for the last few weeks in my bedroom. I feel I have enough experience to share my thoughts. I have mostly used my Lumi with my iPhone charging block, and it’s working perfectly. (More on power options later.) Being able to adjust the brightness on these lights is fantastic! They are too bright in my 12x12 room at night on the highest setting, but they are pretty adjustable (I would love the flexibility to set them even dimmer; they only dim to a certain point). I love the colors, but I often stick with the yellow/white options. The blues and greens are intense and beautiful. The red will preserve night vision by not dazzling the eyes. I experimented with a 3300 mah power bank/ Bluetooth speaker for power with mixed results. At the lowest intensity and on red, the lights lasted over 8 hours! I image they will last even longer—impressive. I tried on another night using the brightest setting on white, and they lasted only 2+ hours. The white light uses the most power (using red/green/blue mixed to produce white—choosing solid red or green or blue consumes less power). My power source was a bit too weak to make the rope light change colors or cross-fade without freezing up (this is mentioned in the literature and requires unplugging/plugging 7 times to reset—I need a battery with more juice or to just be happy with low/red to get best results). I’ll be looking into getting a 25k mah battery for multi- night camping. I used an older mp3 usb charger and experienced freeze ups; stick with higher quality (Apple wall wart) usb charger for flawless usage. The remote is pretty great. The button include dedicated R/G/B and 3 white light settings, on/off, color up/down, brightness up/ down, mode, and cross-fade speed up/down. I hear the remotes crap out fairly quickly, but I think they are only about $5 on Power Practical’s website. For the convenience of use, I’d happily buy replacement(s) if it holds up to a few months of usage. The cross-fade is a cool effect, but the remote confuses me as to how many speed settings there are. There is also an in-line control with only 3 buttons—confusing to use but there if needed in a pinch. The remote is about 1.5x 3.5 inches, small and probably easy to lose. I keep mine tethered to my headboard using one of the supplied orange rubbery friction ties that you can use to hang/mount the Lumi. The ties work pretty well. There’s a string loop on one end of the rope that’s a handy feature. The other end has the in-line control and end with the usb connector. I have not used the sliding magnets that come preinstalled, but they seem like a versatile feature. The rope light set seems pretty heavy duty. I have not tested waterproofing, but I am confident they’ll work in camping situations (keeping in mind the usb power source and connection is not water resistant). The reversible usb is kinda cool once you get over the fact it looks a bit different than typical—it fits perfectly in all USB ports that I have used (iPhone charger, mp3 charger, power bank). The lantern carrying bag works well to diffuse light and provide a nice glow. I had some questions, reached out to customer service through Power Practical’s website, and received a courteous, professional reply quickly. I look forward to using these outside to more fully appreciate their versatility! Five stars so far!

Awesome so far even through I just got the product, will update after camping trips Colorful and awesome so far was my first review when I bought in jan 2017. It’s now 2022 and these still work wonders. The battery has long since died after about 2 years of constant use on the road but the lights still work. I use to keep it under my pop up canopy and just strap my own usb battery and have it run and just unplug from battery when I left camp. Gave a real nice vibe with changing colors or just a nice off white. I just cleaned out my truck another couple years of them sitting in my truck, threw them on the back of the TV and still look great! Lovely lights that last for me

De momento funcionan bien y se adecuan a lo que buscaba. Básicamente quiero esta tira para iluminación del interior de mi tienda de techo y evitar tener que hacer una instalación de 12v. La idea es usar la tira enrollada sobre uno de los puntales de gas y darle corriente con una batería portátil. Sin embargo, sugeriría un par de modificaciones para convertir esta tira led en superventas. 1- Reducir los colores a 3: rojo, ambar y blanco. 2- Simplificar el mando a distancia y el intercalado. 3- Reemplazar la conexión USB-A por una más robusta o, mejor, por una USB-C más actual. Espero que me dure muchos viajes.

Good product, very flexible, produces lots of light in different colours and have several different modes. Definitely likes the remote feature

Schöne Länge, schöne Lichtausbeute, leichte Steuerung. Nutze es im Wohnzimmer hinter dem Sofa und auch im Garten. Einziger Nachteil: das Gummi ist so weich, dass es jede Staubfluse festhält.

Pratique grâce aux aimants qui permettent de le "coller" un peu partout. Je l'utilise pour mes voyages en van et ils répond à plusieurs usages: lumière pratique, lumière d'ambiance, lumière festive,... J'en suis pleinement satisfait. Reste à voir la durabilité à long terme. Je n'espère pas qu'il me claquera dans un an, ni même deux, ni même trois. Qd j'achète des affaires pour mon van (dont certaines ont 30 ans) je souhaite qu'elles durent longtemps par tous temps, toutes sollicitations.
