TAISHAN 3W Mini Aquarium Algae Removal Light With Timer, Waterproof Green Clear Light for Fish Tank, Pond, Swimming Pool

The Amazon delivery person hates me I sure, I get multiple packages daily most days! But I never write reviews. This one I just HAD too! I have spent sooooo much money trying to rid my 60 & 30 gallon tanks of mucky, cloudy water. Water clarification treatments, beneficial bacteria, sludge eating bacteria, water changes, UGH 😩 nothing worked! Then in comes the UV lights. I have a small one inside the filter of my 60 gallon, and a 7-8” one pictured in my 30 gallon (as you can see the smaller tank was much worse). The small bulb is only 1-2” overall, so it wouldn’t fit inside my smaller filter system on my smaller tank. That’s why you see the weird black activated charcoal filter media wrap job I did on it (instructions say to not let the light touch the fish it can cause irritation and damage to their skin) so that is an option if you have a smaller filter. Anyway!!!! These pictures are from only ONE DAY. I didn’t have a chance to snap a pic of the larger tank but I did take the photo seen in my review after a couple hours with the light in it. It was almost the same color water as the smaller tank before!!! The clear water photos are of only 10 or so hours of use of the UV lights. I put them in the night prior when the package arrived, and the After photos are from when I woke up the next morning (today.) I am just absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how well and EXTREMELY FAST these lights worked!!!! If you have an over abundance of bacteria grown, Algae, or just plain cloudy water…. This will hands down be the best purchase you ever made for your Aquariums and fish! I’m not joking. The photos speak for themselves!! Buy it, YESTERDAY! If I had went this route sooner I would’ve saved over $200 in products that just couldn’t get the job done. These UV lights definitely do!!! -Bree Zamora

It worked great for a while. It cleared up the Algie bloom in my small aquarium & it cleared up the white fog in my big aquarium. It was great for about 3 months. It leaked today. I will bury it later.🫩 I still need it so ill get another one , a different brand

First, this product straight up lied. There is no timer function. It is a simple on/off switch and nothing more. There is also no cover included as shown on the listing. I used a prefilter sponge I had on hand. Second, the brightness comes and goes in waves and it flickers fresh out of the box. Third, it produces quite a bit of heat for something so small and dim. The hope is that the water is cool enough that it doesn't melt the cover. The plan was to use this in my cats filtered water bowl and then use for fish tanks if needed but I have almost no confidence in the product which is definitely not enough to risk putting in my tanks. While I do believe that many of the bad reviews claiming dead fish are user error (people who didn't read or didn't understand the instructions. (In their defense, the instructions are poorly written as well)). I do not expect this product to last based off first impression out of the box. I'll watch it for a couple hours in the cat bowl but after that, I'm seeking a return/refund. There is too much risk. I will look for something more durable and trustworthy elsewhere.

My new saltwater tank got Dino’s! One of the worst algae types for saltwater but UV light is very effective this little guy made quick work in 6 days my coral and fish are happy. I ran it 24/7 and lower the light schedule fed normally never fully blacked out and still got rid of the Dino’s!

Using a UV light (IN THE FILTER BOX, NOT THE OPEN TANK) does a lot for water clarity. I’ve bought a lot of these because unfortunately they die after like 6 months. I buy from the same listing each time and they die faster and faster each time. I feel like everytime I check on them I’m throwing them away.

This is for the 7W 8 in bulb. First let me start off by saying be patient! I don’t normally leave reviews but oh boy did this thing work! At first I was thinking this thing isn’t doing anything. Put it in my filter on low flow and didn’t really notice a difference in the first day. I went away for a weekend and when I came back I noticed it was a bit lighter. Here we are a week later and I have super clear water!! Here’s a pic on how it looked when I started, how I placed it in my filter, and a video of it a week later!! In my experience it’s a must buy to clear you water. I hope it works for others as it worked for me.

I’ve had this for a few months now and it functions great. I got my tank clear after a water treatment and letting it run for a week it fit perfectly into the filter that I put it into and so I can’t see the light or anything and neither can my fish so far I think it’s a great value for the money

This sure made a difference in water clarity in my 5 gallon tank. Within 3 days the water went from cloudy to perfectly clear. Does give off a slight amount of heat but not enough to raise temp more than a degree or two. Only issue I had was the outer glass cover cracked for some reason. The inner UV lamp is fine still but outer glass jacket cracked making it no longer useful. Would be nice if they could increase the strength of the outer glass jacket. Once it cracks you can only silicone it or throw it away.

Worked for few minutes then it exploded. I don’t recommend it at all
