I had just bought this fun as my father had wanted my previous S7
This is the first review that I have done. I had just bought this fun as my father had wanted my previous S7, the phone that I had before the S7 was an Idol 3. I absolutely adored the Idol 3, my all around favorite phone. I enjoyed that phone to the fullest, and when I decided to get another phone and give my S7 to my dad, I decided on this phone. In case, anyone doesn't have enough time to read this review, here is a breakdown of the pros and cons!Pros :ScreenSoundFast ChargeEarphonesPriceBatteryDesignMicroSD ExpansionSizeCons :I'm iffy about the fingerprint sensor, as it sits flush with the back of the phone. But the fingerprint sensor is still pretty decent,So to start with the review, the screen is an AMOLED 2K Screen at 2560x1440. The screen looks amazing, very impressive. You feel immersed while looking at this screen. Watching media, such as Youtube, and Netflix. And the sound of the speakers amplifies it. The speakers are dual JBL front facing speakers. Front facing speakers should be the main attraction. They sound amazing and have a rich sound. And for people that are like me and like blasting music on their phones, the speakers are extremely loud. What they did with these speakers are amazing. That should be the main reason to get the phone. The design of the phone is also amazing. I believe the design to stack up with the likes of the S7 and S8s. The phone has a little lip on the sides, which kinda gives it an edge like appearance. The phone also has small curves on the back, so it feels nice to hold. The battery lasts around 5 hours with heavy usage. Heavy usage includes watching movies, watching Youtube, and playing games such as Clash Royale (I play the game quite a lot). It gets me nearly all day with that usage, I tend to play games and watch videos on my phone during 3rd Period (it's my art class). I use this phone with Cricket Wireless and get amazing reception. I always have 4G LTE and get fast wireless reception. Also, I saw a question on Snapchat. I'm not a big user of Snapchat, I mainly use Instagram to browse memes, but Snapchat works amazingly on this device, I haven't seen any lag on this app.The camera is also amazing, I believe the camera also stacks up with the likes of the S7. In case, you don't know the Idol 4S has a 16MP Camera. Selfies are also great on this phone (which I don't tend to do a lot). Something that may catch your attention, is the fact that both the rear camera and front facing camera have flashes. Conclusion :If you are looking for a nice cheap phone, this is the best bet. Not only does it look amazing and will wow your friends. It has a great camera, great speakers, all while having a 5.5 screen, which I believe to be the perfect size for a multimedia phone.

Great build quality, great screen and front facing speakers. Android 6.0.1 could hold this phone back for some.
Great build quality and great screen. The processor isn't flagship class so some games will stutter a bit. I've had this phone for about 5 months and has been a solid daily driver for me. I originally had the Idol 3 but it broke in my back pocket, so having this sturdy slab of metal and glass is great. Recently had an update that gave back the boom key functionality (extra loudness for video and music). I could have bought the Idol 5 but liked the screen better and based on some of the reviews, the front facing speakers were better. What I like:+build quality+front speakers - for calls and music+boom key (reprogrammable)+screen+Integrated EQ - didn't think it was a needed feature, but since I use multiple wired and wireless headphones, it helped with the overall sound quality. Using wired will get you better results and in my opinion sounds better than the iPhone 7, Idol 3 and my previous HTC One M8.+TMO VOLTE compatible. Didn't think I would notice the difference, but you can tell. One thing to note is that by default it will be switched on, but you will have to toggle it off and on if the phone has a cold start or you rebooted the phone. Don't know why, but if you don't your calls will go through H+ or 3G.What I dislike:- Processor is much slower than I thought it would be. When comparing it to my iPhone 7, there enough difference in performance for some games. Bleach Brave Souls and Marvel Future fight come to mind.- Heat - when playing games or any processor intense activity will cause this to heat up. A case is definitely a must.- Bluetooth strength isn't the greatest- Battery life isn't the best and if you play games, this isn't its strong suit- Camera in low light/indoor situations is terrible. If you have too many apps open, you'll also find a slow "quick start" when you double tap the power or boom key button.- Software is stuck on 6.0.1Overall I've been pleased with this phone. I wish I could rock this without a case, but heat and just the fact its glass it isn't advised. daily tasks like music, video and some game play is great. Camera in great light is also good and comparable to my iPhone, but avoid low light situations. Perfect phone if you get it for under $180 or below. Don't need the VR bundle.

Nice screen size, but I would not buy this phone.
Phone is interesting to say the least. The screen sometimes comes up black, even when you push the button for the phone to come alive. And it will not turn off to reset without you holding it repeatedly. The volume fluctuates, and it not very loud. For the price, it's an OK phone, but I had a MUCH better phone in the lumina that I had before that only cost me 48 dollars. The screen is a nice size, but the phone does not consistently work well. The display of voice mail messages does not work consistently. I have to manually dial my voice mail on a regular basis, because the feature to display and dial your voicemail from the main screen works sporadically
