Bright!
I installed 2 of these in the front "dome" lamp positions in a 2014 Chevy Tahoe SSV. This was not so much for more light, as the vehicle has 2x 212-2 incandescent bulbs in each of the (count 'em!) SIX dome light positions (2x front, 2x mid, 2x rear), plus a separately switched aftermarket warm white or red dome light in back of the front two factory lights. However, the 6x 212-2 bulbs do draw significant current, and modern starting batteries don't like that a lot. I measured one of these well used** 212-2 bulbs as drawing 0.74 amps at 12.8 battery volts = 9.47 watts. Six of them would be almost 4.5 amps. I guesstimate new bulbs would draw at least 6 amps. That's not "awful", but in a situation where the vehicle may be sitting turned off yet with a good amount of the lights usage, such as at a camping spot... Replacing the 212-2's up front gave me a TON of good quality warm white light. It's a little less yellow-orange than the 212-2's, esp. with the engine off, so I'd say a 3000K rating is just about right, and with a nice spectrum overall. It's almost as good as a name brand indoor / 120v AC warm white bulb, IMO. Map reading is much easier, which is great for my gettin' old eyes! The disadvantage is that now there is much too much light to have even the passenger side on while driving at night. There's no manual dimmer function for the dome lights, so if I'm driving and wifey needs to get to something (or vice versa), then the aftermarket light is further back and less bright. :-) Fade out of the LED lights cuts off a little more abruptly at the end of the fade, than do the 212-2's, but it's not a problem. I've noticed no problems with flickering, etc., but, again, the dimming function in this SSV version of the Tahoe has been defeated. That all said, I may well try out some even lower current LED bulbs here -- I see some on Amazon rated at about 1/2 the lumens and just 0.9 watts which would be only 0.07 amps. If those behave, I may put one of the lesser bulbs in the passenger front position and two in the middle dome lights, leaving the stronger bulbs over the driver and over the cargo compartment. These bulbs may have some good possibilities for emergency lights that take 211-2 or 212-2 bulbs, also, IF line voltage cutoff or turn on spikes making it through the power supply are not a problem. (I'm thinking "not", as good quality home LED bulbs seem reasonably resistant to "everyday" line voltage variations. However, check with the manufacturer...) Update: 10/5/2024 -- These bulbs have been in the Tahoe for almost a year now, with no problems noted. The brightness without the harshness of lights in the 5000k and up range is much appreciated. These are probably brighter than need be for the 2nd row seats (middle dome lights), but, until I add something else in the rear for camping uses, the work pretty well in the rear dome light positions too - the only issue being that they do draw more current than some lower lumen lamps, so you don't want to forget and leave them switched manually "on". I did edit my original review slightly for clarity and accuracy, tonight, but, none of those impressions have changed significantly. Overall, this is a good product. It is not "the cheapest", but the price is reasonable for the performance. I'd like to see the seller offer a 10 or 12 pack, or some other quantity discount. :-)

Great quality!
Great quality! Powerful bright and color temperature 3000K is correct per described, not too cold, not warm. Very happy with the purchase.

Good value and excellent color temp.
Ok, pretty happy with these bulbs. The color warmth is just about perfect, so they are not annoyingly blue. But also not too yellow/orange. Brightness is more than enough for the purpose, but not so bright as to be painful if behind a stock diffuser. And so far no random blinking. And I haven't noticed any 'bulb-out' messages in my car yet. Still too early to say out long they will last, but at this price I would be happy if they just lasted 1 year. And the fit was totally fine. I used these for interior lighting and for the license plate illumination. It's perfect for trunk or rear seat lighting. And is a bit overkill for the license plate purpose, especially if your car uses too bulbs. But at least every cop that follows me will be able to read my plate super easy! (and it lights up the road behind me a little bit as a bonus.

Great color at 3000K, exact size for my old dome light, great amount of light!
These are essentially the exact same size as a traditional 6411 incandesent bulb. These fit my old dome lamp housing perfectly. The light output is much brighter than the old regular lamp, and this uses 1/5 the power: 2 watts compared to 10 watts for the old one. This runs a lot cooler. The color is advertised as "Warm White" 3000K and I believe this is correct. The light color is not strong amber, but it's not harsh white either. It's a soft amber; very pleasing. The only other question is: Will this last?

Bright, White, Nearly Omnidirectional, Dimmable, Nonpolarized, and Hints
These T-3+1/4 wedge base LED lamps have brightened my car. The original #192 incandescent lamps had left the map lights dim and directional: useful, but requiring special positioning of documents "where the light was" for good viewing. These LED lamps provide both brightness and spread (flood), rendering everything in my car's forward cabin well lit. Just one of these outperforms even the car's dome light, and two of these simply put the dome light TO SHAME. The color is simply white: neither the tan of "soft white" nor the sometimes blue of "cool white" or "daylight". That suits me well, as I dislike either extreme. These are dimmable, though they behave a bit differently than incandescents. These get rather dim by about 9 V and drop out at about 7.5 V. A #192 incandescent, on the other had, still shines somewhat at 7.5 V. In my car, the difference seems minor to moderate: these dim noticeably and then extinguish from a somewhat brighter level than the incandescents. Conveniently, the "nonpolarized" claim is true. Plug the LED lamp in any way you like. If it fits and you've got a 12 V electrical system, it works. Some hints are required. CAUTION: Do NOT use these for side marker, license plate, nor similar exterior lighting unless you can determine the result is similar to your vehicle's original incandescent lamps. Why not? Federal motor vehicle regulations. U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49 ss571.108 (overly intricately Title 49, Subtitle B, Chapter V, Part 571, Subpart B, ss571.108) specifies lighting intensities, to promote safety. Sure, you likely won't get a ticket, but go ahead and do the right thing. While these have a T-1+3/4 (OK, T10 metric) wedge base, they exceed the overall size of T-1+3/4 lamp and so simply will not fit in some applications. So, check for space. The body reaches 15/32" wide (about 12 mm) and the total length is 1+3/32" (about 28 mm) with a "bulb portion" length of 0.8" (about 20.5 mm). Contact issues may prove easily resolvable. Just bend each wire so it runs diagonally from right next to the center ridge out to the edge of the base. That's it! One of my car's map light "sockets" (not: just pairs of folded sheet metal contraptions with each pair intended to somehow have its contacts remain parallel) gave contact trouble even with the original incandescent lamp (cured by depriving the "socket" of power and judiciously applying needle-nose pliers). Both "sockets" eventually gave contact trouble with these LED lamps, _until_ I reshaped the LED lamps' contact wires as described above. Presto! Reliable contact and uninterrupted luminous convenience.

Did not fit: too small
The ends were too small - not a replacement for the #578 bulbs that are in my vehicle.

Excellent, replaced my existing bulbs with these and they are great

À voir au long terme.

Montate senza problemi in abitacolo Opel Mokka e Nissan Micra. Giusta luminosità: intensa, ma non abbagliante. Per la durata... vedremo.

Used to replace filament bulbs in my American 5th wheel caravan. All bulbs worked perfectly and put out more light than previous bulbs all whilst using minimal power.
