Maddak SP Ableware Leg Loop Leg Lift, Black

A must have
I had a hip replacement and it was difficult to near impossible (and very painful) for me to get my leg up on the bed or couch. This really helps. I found it worked best if I pressed and held my foot/leg firmly in the strap so I was doing the lifting with the strap and my arms as opposed to my leg. That really cut down on the pain. I was told by my PT that it was good for me to work my leg muscles but right after surgery it hurt too much. I gave myself a break and started trying to lift my leg by myself after about two weeks. No need for excessive suffering. I highly recommend this product.

Solves a difficult task RECOMMENDED for quality/price/need
Wow, it makes one more task not quite so difficult. By the end of an outing (Dr appt, Dinner, Movie, Visiting) I start to run out of steam. It gets just a little more difficult to lift my feet to start a move. Like, getting in the car (SUV), starting up the steps (once on the first one, I'm good to go), getting my foot up to remove my shoes & socks, just to give you an idea of what works well for me. It is extremely well made and very strong. I am 6'+ and weigh more than the average bear. So it has a job to do lifting my foot off the ground, but works like a charm. Recommended for quality construction, value of use, ease of use.

Very Helpful
This is a very good product if you have a weak leg and need help lifting it or you have a cast or surgery to the leg. Only problem I had was remembering to keep it close by. Really helped to relieve the stress on my tendons in my leg after I had surgery to re-attach. Especially helped to get in car and to get out of bed. I was able to assist my leg with my arm muscles by using this device, instead of stress the tendon before it was healed. The way it holds the loop open so you can put it on your foot was really great.

This leg loop is well designed, well constructed, and SAFE.
My husband (following two major surgeries and two months in rehab) is using this to help himself get into and out of bed, with great success. It is easy to use and very sturdy, so no worries about the bad leg (with considerable surgical steel bolted into the femur) being mishandled or accidentally "falling". The key word: SAFE.

This product is worth its weight in gold!
Purchased this for my neighbor. They didn’t know how wonderful this product is!This makes 7 or 8 I’ve purchased ...one for me, and the rest as gifts as friends and neighbors got knee-replacements. YES, it helps that much!My surgeon asked how I could get around so well...in & out of the cars, up/down the staircase...in and out of bed....I showed him, he ordered a doz to give to his patients!Worked great for me to get on and off my 650cc Maxi scooter! Then I’d just fold in half, and tuck it in my cubby-hole on the scooter. Sold a lot that way, too....when I’d get on or off, using this product!

Excellent tool. Very usefull
Really handy. I have muscular dystrophy so it is hard lifting my legs into bed. This is just what the doctor ordered. It is also great getting into my small SUV. This is a little shorter than the standard size which works well for me. I guess if you are 6 foot 6 inches it might be too short I'm 5'8" so workd great for me.

Didn't work for me.
This seemed like a good idea for lifting my left foot. I had a bad hip; had hip replacement surgery last week and this arrived a couple days after I came home. So far, I have not got it to help me at all. It goes over the foot fine, but when I pull on the strap (which, incidentally, seems too long), it slips to the side, goes crooked and twists my foot and leg, which is contrary to instructions to keep the leg straight. The effort required to keep the leg stabilized causes more pain and so far, the lifter has been useless or impossible to use. The wire inside the straps wobbles just like a long wire does, which doesn't help. I have hopes that when I am more stable and the hip has totally healed, then maybe there will be some use where I can just use it to lift the foot higher than normal. In the meantime, it was a waste.

This was a wonderful invention.
I purchased this lift strap while suffering a comeback from a long medical disability. I didn't have the strength to life my leg to get into an automobile or onto my bed. This leg strap made all the difference in the world while I worked on strengthing my leg so I didn't have to rely on someone to help me with trips to the doctor and/or getting into my own bed. Rather than pass it on to someone else when I no longer needed help with these chores, I became selfish and kept it in my storage so I would always have it sometime down the line if needed again. Can't always rely on some of the good things that work for me to still be available if called upon. I recommend this highly to those not wanting to always rely on others for help.
