Sports Flags Pennants Company 6 Foot Flag Pole Aluminum Spinning Flagpole for Grommet or House Flag

Just got it today. Unimpressed. Advertised as 1" diameter, but that is the black plastic "handle" at the base. Pole, itself, much lighter. I put an extremely lightweight nylon POW/MIA flag on it using same base mount as my "Old Glory", which is mounted on another 1" pole, which really is a 1" diameter and has held up well since I put it up 3-4 months ago. Gonna give it a try, then reevaluate after several days of flag flying in the wind. Would not buy it again.OK. After a few days, it's time to reevaluate. Gave it a 3 star at first. Gave it a try. Terrible!! Had to pick it up 4-5 times and put it back in my standard 1" mounting base. Returning it!! Don't waste your money or time!!!~

This is a flimsy flagpole, with thin pole part and small plastic head. The bottom clip is almost impossible to use, as you can't get it apart far enough to actually insert the flag grommet end hole. I could have lived with all that, but it WILL NOT fit in my standard size flag holder, which defeats the whole purpose.

My boyfriend and I purchased this to hang our Seahawks flag outside our house. 5 stars for the packaging- came fast and was shipped nicely. I can see why people rated this product negatively- it is really confusing and doesn't come with instructions. We thought for a minute that we had purchased the wrong pole to hang our 3x5 flag. You have to extend the bottom part of the pole to get the clip to move further down. This can definitely be mistaken for the pole not accommodating our size of flag, just a FYI. So far so good, we have had it hanging up for the last week with no problems.

It didn't fit the 3' x 5' flag I put on it - it didn't telescope enough to fit the flag, so I had to modify it to make it work. So, keep that in mind before you buy it. The hooks that fasten to the flag grommets are too close together and that would leave the flag with an unaesthetic 'dip' where the edge of the flag meets up against the flag pole.update two months later - broke in a windstorm with maybe 50 mph gusts. The one holding my American flag is fine and has been up for years.This does not spin either - so look elsewhere.

but....This product is not as described.1. The pole does not adjust to 6 feet; more like 5 ft 10 inches.2. The more appropriate size of a flag is 2'x3' or 4'or5'; due to the distance between the hooks to secure the flag. My 3'x5' flag droops with the manufactured place of hooks; however, I have modified and added a rotating mount ring to accommodate my 3'x5' flag.3. The rubber part used for handling makes it is very snug to fit in a 1" flag pole holder. Good if the flag pole is meant to be stationary; think again if you want it portable.I like the fact that it is telescopic, which for my purposes makes it portable.

First issue was that it will not fit into the flag holder with the rubber handle on so that needed to be removed. Then, it was only up for a couple weeks before the flag pole completely bent at the holder so the flag was on the ground. There was no bad weather, wind, etc. The flag pole just gave up. The clips worked great for keeping the flag straight and untangled...when it wasn't on the ground.

It is much thinner than the average pole and the ball on the end is way too small. It does seem sturdy enough though and I really like that it extends. It does not however fit in a standard 1" flag pole cup because of the black handle on the end. Also the bottom clip does not go down the pole far enough to be able to accommodate a standard 3' x 5' flag even though it says it can fit flags up to 4' x 6'. Also, the clips it does have are quite small to fit a heavy duty flag grommet. So I will be returning it.

I purchased this for a 3x5 flag to hang off of my house. In medium strength winds, the plastic sleeve on the bottom pops off and I have to constantly reattach it. The purpose of this pole is so the flag turns around with the wind but mine always gets hung up. Doesnt serve its purpose.
