Problems
I ordered 5 of these to replace my dad's hall lights from the 80's (yes he has a lot of halls). In the 80's everyone was using polished brass and it's hard to find now....mostly bronze or nickel finishes nowadays. So choices are limited if you need polished brass fixtures. The overall quality of these is almost ok, but pretty flimsy. They are way more difficult to install than they should be and some of the parts don't fit....some of the most important parts. They really cut corners everywhere, even wire caps are too small. The screws provided for hookup to the electrical box are about 1/4" too short. Screwed all the way out, they are just visible above the holes in the housing...very frustrating. That is a serious oversight.Another problem is the cheap cheap cheap housing insulation batting. It's the kind of insulation that flies everywhere as soon as you remove the fixtures from the box. You will be covered from head to toe with itchy/cutting insulation fibers after installation, so wear a mask and eye protection...it's the worst I've ever seen. I tried to install one of them last night and I'm still mad this morning about the whole thing; especially since I have to go to a hardware store and get screws that will work...and having to wash my clothes twice trying to get the insulation fibers out. If you've ever worked around fiberglass fibers you know it will follow you everywhere: clothes hair, gets in your vehicle, chair, bed...everywhere and hard to get rid of

Two out of three received with damaged globes.
what is important to know is the faulty method of packaging causes the globe to break (two out of three times). They assemble the center post to the base, lay a sheet of cardboard on top of the base, and then place the globe, wrapped in another piece of cardboard in its normal position on the base with the post protruding through the hole in the center of the globe. But they don't secure the post to the globe or place anything between them to prevent contact between the two! This allows the two to impact each other during handling. I originally purchased two of these. One was ok the protrusion in the globe of the other one, where the post hole is located, was shattered into 4 pieces! Amazon quickly furnished a replacement but there was a chip out of the globe at the post hole on that one (fortunately small enough to be covered by the brass trim so I was able to use it as is0! All the vendor would have to do to eliminate the problem is not assemble the post to the base and secure both pieces in box using foam packing material!

Good looking and a LOT of light
I replaced a "mushroom" ceiling light in a dark closet with this fixture to increase bulb count from one to three. Big difference.... three "60-watt equivalent" LEDs throw a ton of light .... and only consume 27 watts of electricity. Also like the glass lens which provides good diffusion.Very good value too. These are as easy to install as other fixtures from big box stores, but it still involves a ladder and [potentially] working with only a flashlight for illumination, so it's still work...When I first ordered them I got an email saying that there would be a four month delay in shipping but actual delivery was within 10 days of ordering.

Nice looking fixture and pretty easy to install
I purchased 2 of these to replace old Hunter remote controlled ceiling fans. The electric wires are plenty long for easy connecting. The only thing I had problems with was attaching the base to the ceiling box as the thick insulation gets in the way of the screws. Also you might want to get some small rubber washers to use as spacers on the ceiling mounting bracket, it will save you a lot of frustration. Make sure to use the small wire nuts included instead of larger ones that you may have laying around or left over from the removal of a previous light fixture or ceiling fan. They will provide a much tighter connection. They look nice and fancy and for me...they match the ones I have in my hall way.

Excellent light.
Excellent light. Produces plenty of light, even with the frosted glass.I have a lux meter, and, I used 2 Android apps 'Lux Light' & 'Physics Toolbox Suite' to measure my ceiling 1-light with clear glass and this ceiling light. Results were virtually 3x, which I was surprised given the frosted glass.Ordered 2 more.

Don't Buy This!
I received the first one and the glass was broken. I returned it and tried it again and the 2nd light I received the glass was broken also, but only worse. I was really disappointed because I really liked this light. The packaging was horrible, I guess that is why the glass broke both times.

looks nice
I purchased 3 of the light fixtures, 2 came with damage issue in the glass dome. One with about 1 inch crack, another with small broken issue at the edge of the glass dome. But they are not big issue, so I installed them. These light fixtures looks nice, very easy to install.
