UPDATE:Updating from 1 star. Seller sent me a replacement fan and it's been working great. Still wary, but I appreciate the seller making things right.Prior review:Went in easily and worked great. For a month then the bearing broke and I have to buy another.Bad quality when it can't handle being in a laptop that stays on a desk all day with light use.

Fix a common problem with HP laptops
A web search confirmed that the grinding noise coming from my HP laptop was due to the cooling fan. A YouTube video showed how to disassemble the laptop. This was the most difficult part of the repair. Once disassembled, the replacement was easy. Remove/reinstall a couple of screws. The fan comes with a matching plug-in module. Fan is quiet and keeps the laptop cool.

This fan for some reason only last a month. This was the third one. It's a bearing noise. It also codes out. Reboot and it's good.
