Getting what you paid for
These days it's hard to know whether you are buying quality or a real piece of junk, kitchen knives in particular these days have latched onto the damascus steel look, but very few are the real deal, the patterns being just a surface decoration rather than a genuine atrifact of forged steel. This knife though, is the biz, it feels solid in the hand, has an edge like a honed razor out of the box and is a real pleasure to use in the kitchen. Sometimes you do have to shell out for quality, in this instance you really do get what you paid for.

Beautiful knife. Pricey, but worth it.
I love this knife. I also own a Zwilling Pro 8" chef's knife, and I love it. This knife is almost identical but with some very minor differences in the handle, bolster and heel. Although the variations were small, it did make a difference, so much that this just feels better and more balanced in my hand than the Zwilling. Downside, and it's a really small thing; the packaging was pretty weak considering this knife was well over £100. It's not adequate packaging/protection if it was rough handled during shipping. Other than the small niggle above, this is one of the best Chef's knives you can buy at this price range.

Possibly one of the best knives
Wusthoff knives are the best knives used in our kitchen, so we knew what we were buying, and this knife didn't disappoint. Highly recommended knive.

Best in the business
I absolutely love my knife and I love the colourful series to the classics. It arrived beautifully packaged and well presented. When taking it out of the box I couldn’t notice how sharp it was and the sharpness has stayed well over a month. My only downside to this knife is with it being a white handle, unfortunately you can see slight markings on the handle which i noticed straight away getting it out of the box. I’m still happy with my purchase though, however I wish I picked a different colour.

Quality knife.
Maybe a little expensive but you know you have a quality knife for the rest of your life. Well balanced and looks good.

Look, if you really want a sharp knife but are not a chef, do not go for this. I asked for this as a birthday present and I cut my hand in the first use. It is not suitable for regular household kitchen habits. I would normally wipe the foods that is stuck on the side of the knife with my finger. It is how I slid my finger open. It was a small cut, but it is not suitable for mistakes. It will chop off anything in its path. Now I am scared to go near it. It is a great knife though.

Best of it's class. Well balanced, comfortable grip, great construction, high rockwell hardness in the steel means it keeps an edge well also. Wusthof knives are the standard for a reason. Great knife.

Nachdem ich dieses Messer nun einige Monate benutze kann ich nur meine Empfehlung aussprechen. Das Messer ist in der Handhabung sehr angenehm und gut austariert. Sprich liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Wenn es richtig scharf ist muss man sehr aufpassen, da das Messer alles schneidet, was sich ihm in den Weg stellt :-) Ich habe das Messer inzwischen sowohl professionell nachschleifen lassen, als auch selber zwischendurch nach geschärft. Ich kann nur Bestnoten vergeben und würde es mir selbst immer wieder kaufen. Das ist auf jeden Fall ein Kauf für sehr viele Jahre der Nutzung. Gibt es in der Küche was schöneres als ein gutes scharfes Messer 🔪

This is an amazing knife. Very high quality, perfectly balanced, keeps it edge and is a workhorse. Can use for any task without fatigue - the knife does the work for you. Always only clean by hand and dry immediately to avoid rust spots or discoloring. Easy to sharpen as well if you also get the Wusthof knife sharpener. Works best with use of a honing stone to keep that edge sharp and in perfect working order. While these are expensive, they will last a LIFETIME with proper care and it will easily become the go-to knife for most prep tasks in the kitchen
