Great book

the collection of topics is good and overall covers most aspects of young adult life; some devotionals in 'dating' section were presuming the person is in dating relation - not much of discussion if the teen in not dating currently; The editor was on vacation with this book. So many typos and wrong words -- you start to question your eyesight

I am a big fan of devotionals, as the practice of centering and connecting to God every day through the BIble has helped me through many transitional times. This is why I thought Becoming Who I Am: Devotional for Teen Boys would be a good gift for my nephew.I remember the struggles of the teenage years, from pressure to do well in school and sports to changing friendship dynamics. It is a time of discovering new parts of ourselves and starting to figure out who one is in the world. Needless to say, this is no easy feat! I can see the growth my nephew is going through, and I wanted to gift him with something that would help him remain connected to his faith and deepen his connection to God during this time in his life.In these formative years, having a daily spiritual practice is so important, especially as one is cultivating more independence in their life. I want him to remember that God is always with him every step of the way. This book was absolutely perfect in so many ways for this reason. It also is a fantastic educational tool that is a good fit for my nephew's age (15) in regard to learning about the stories of the BIble and their meaning.I highly recommend this to mothers, aunts, and caregivers of teenage boys who are looking to provide guidance while also cultivating independence in their young men. This book will be a great source of support for a teenager, who is discovering their own path to God. I have seen my nephew reading it with enjoyment, and he has told me he really appreciates it because it guides him to make good decisions. He also likes how it gives him the opportunity to more thoroughly explore his faith. It's a great tool to help our loved young men stay on track and connected to God.

“Becoming Who I Am: Faith Devotional for Teen Boys,” by Anders Bennett is a wonderfully inspiring devotional for teen boys. I purchased this devotional for my son who I really felt my connection with was slipping. All too often would he lock himself in his room to hide away and play video games with his online friends. Time passes far too quickly, as every parent knows, and I wanted to make sure that he was using his time wisely. I wanted to make a connection with him and I wanted him to know that there was a God that he could lean on when times got tough. My son is most certainly not one who is quick to open up and express how he is feeling, and I thought that by providing him with a devotional that he could really turn to when he was feeling any certain way would be the best opportunity to reach him. I could not have been happier with this purchase. It took him a little bit of time and encouragement to put down his video game controller and take 10 minutes of time to dedicate to this, but once he got started, he really took to it. Again, I could not be more impressed with this wonderful devotional for teen boys.
