Rainbow Henna is a True Blessing! Healthy Safe Color like Natural Hair Color - Amazing!
This product just blows my mind.I switched from chemical hair colors to using natural henna because my hair stopped growing, was super thinning, turned white, and was receding. By using this and other natural henna products, my hair started growing back and in color! This signaled to me that it was not age but the harsh chemicals of bad hair products that caused my hair and scalp issues. I did some research on those chemicals of the other hair products and it is very scary what one finds.I am SO HAPPY I made the switch to natural henna. This particular product works faster than my other henna product and it matches my natural dark brown hair color exactly. It smells and looks like matcha tea, which is far superior to chemicals. It does not burn your head like chemicals do. And this even nourishes your hair. For new people switching over, your chemical hair will turn black until it grows out and gets cut off. Then the henna will work with your natural hair adding nice diverse color tones (from copper, red, brown, to black) based on your own various shades. It is so much prettier. People often think I have costly highlights (more so with the medium brown henna, or reds, than the dark brown option).MY PROCESS: I add cinnamon dashes, dash of vanilla, a spoon of instant coffee, and a spoon of lime or lemon, to the hot water and henna mix. I use the same hair paint brush that the salon uses for highlights and peel through each row layer from ear to ear over the top of my head at 1/2 cm row increments. The henna mix is like mud on your head. I put on a disposable plastic shower cap to encapsulate and activate the product with warmth. I put cotton rounds on my ears for comfort and drips. I put a black durag on for added henna activating warmth and so I don't look too scary. I leave the henna in for 3-4 hours. (Directions say 40-60 minutes for this product.) It dries like dirt and can be challenging and messy to rinse out, the longer you go. While in the shower, a wide comb and some conditioner on the ends helps. For 2-3 days, no shampoo, no oils, no conditioner on the parts where you want the henna to stay! This process might be too much for some people, but for my good health, good smells, and beautiful hair, I find this product to be an absolute blessing. The process is just part of my life now. Oh, and, I only do henna once a month now, that's only 12 times a year out of 365 days! This compared to the twice a month with the chemicals option because of that harsh hair grow line. Henna fades, so there is no harsh grow line, and it looks much more natural as your hair grows, so you can go longer between servicing it. And the amount of money you save?! Hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars. Plus your health!I highly recommend going to RAINBOW's official website. There is a lot of good information to read there. Good luck everybody! Stay healthy. Thanks Rainbow!Sincerely,Grateful

Quick recipe for covering small bits of grey
I’ve used Rainbow henna off and on over the years. I decided to go back because I couldn’t find the Indian brand I used around me and my only alternative was LUSH which is useless at covering greys. This isn’t “real” henna however, it works really well for my hair type and it doesn’t give me breathing problems. I’m pregnant and I feel safe using it.My recipe for my hair to cover 1% gray: 12 oz boiled strong caffeinated coffee, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 4 discs of cocoa butter, and 4 oz of henna. My hair is to my bra strap.Boil the coffee over a double boiler (just a pot of water with a bowl over it). Break up the cocoa butter till it’s pretty much disappeared. Add the vinegar. Remove from pot. Slowly add the henna into coffee mixture and then I use a chopstick to stir it till it’s smooth.Dear god, use gloves and line your bathroom in garbage bags. I use Abolene around my hair line so the sloppy spills can be easily cleaned up. Slap it onto to divided clipped up hair, I usually have 8 sections. Put a plastic cap on (or grocery bag if you ran out of them). Clean up the mess I’ve made in the bathroom. I then blast my hair with the hair dryer for five minutes and get the heat under the plastic. Wrap a towel over the plastic to seal the heat in. Set a timer for 1 hr. Watch Netflix in the bathtub with a face mask on and drink hot cocoa.Use only conditioner to wash it out. Don’t shampoo for a few days so the color fully sets (takes 48 hrs, then you can wash). The cocoa butter leaves your hair moisturized and shiny. This recipe leaves my hair very soft, shiny, and gives it a deep color. If you mess up or make it too dark, I’ve used organic dish soap (like 7th gen) to wash it out. Otherwise, it’ll take 4-6 weeks and it’ll fade out as it’s not “real” henna. I have gotten chemical dyes after waiting the 6 weeks and going to the salon. Make sure to tell them before and bring the Rainbow container so they can look at it. I’ve never had a problem going back and forth with this brand as it’s not strong and fades. Other hennas I have.

What a mess
Product arrived with the lid open on the one container and henna all over inside the bag. Wasn’t in the same type of tightly fitting wrap it was in when I ordered previously.
