I was skeptical about this being much better than the simple one I've had for years but my fears were unfounded. This is worth it. The oversized handle gives you confidence during use allowing you to grasp comfortably, while the rotates in the air without falling down and causing a spill.The lid is separated from the body of the can precisely and best of all you can simply pop it back on and store the remaining contents in the fridge, this is a Godsend for chopped tomatoes or tomato paste because it saves your plastic tupperwave from stains and smells, since the contents of the can are stored in the can itself with the tight-fitting original lid on top.And what's even better is that we all know how the top of cans can have dust and debris, but because the seal is cut on the side, you lift the entire top of the lid without causing the nasty junk to fall inside the can. Even a minute amount of that cra_p can introduce mould and fungus, causing the contents to quickly spoil. I have not found such spoilage at the same rate as my cans opened with the previous one.The design is smart, the little grippy things work very well to pull the lid up (I initially thought it would be a gimmick, but it does work and it's very easy to use!)As a bonus, the ring pull works, the soda bottle lid opener works too, and I haven't tried opening beer yet as I buy twist-top bottles but I am sure if the rest works well then no reason why this won't either.The rotating action is very smooth, no "skipping", and please trust me, if the built quality and the way it works is anything to go by then this thing will probably be passed down to your next generation. Do yourself a favor and get one.

Easiest and best can opener I've ever used. Plus, it opens plastic carbonated drinks bottles, breaks the seals on stubborn jars, opens ring pull cans easily and has a bottle opener as well!I've lost track of the number of cheap AND expensive can openers I've gone through over the years, so finding this amazing item is a dream come true.No sharp edges on the cans or the lids, and because it doesn't use a blade to slice the can open, nothing ever comes into contact with the contents of the tin, so hygiene wise, it's unbeatable.It's also the smoothest and easiest can opener I've come across and has passed the one test that separates the cheapo openers from the best... the metal pies in the tins from the brand that sounds like "Ray Mentos" - these things destroy most can openers, but are easily tamed by these fantastic Swiss creations!I can't say enough good things about this multi-opener from Kuhn Rikon. If you suffer from arthritis and struggle with bottles, jars and cans, this will help immensely. It's SO easy to use and is very well designed and thought out, from the extra leverage it gives when opening a really tight plastic bottle top, down to the little button-operated mini pliers that grip and lift the can lid away and lets you drop it straight in the bin with no mess.Would make a very welcome gift for anyone, I'm sure.

I bought this for my son for when he goes to Uni but I liked it so much I have kept it. It is the best tin opener I have ever used. It is so easy to turn that when I first used it I thought it hadn't opened the tin but it had. It is a bonus that it has all the other things on it. I'm right handed and my son is left handed and we both find it easy to use. Well worth the money. Have now got to buy one for him.

After years of struggling with sub standard can openers I opted for this one and haven’t been disappointed. The only issue is it’s too good - it took me a while to realise that it was opening the cans as it opens them higher up than a usual opener and it isn’t obvious initially. But now I know I’m delighted with how easily it works and how it doesn’t leave any sharp edges.Only downside is that it’s bulky but has lots of additional functions so hopefully will be worth the extra size.

I was unsure when I saw this design for the first time. Wow…. Works perfectly and surprisingly clean cut. Would recommend anyone looking for a can opener.

The opener quickly grips onto the can and easily cuts through the edges of the lids. BUT it's difficult to know when it has finished cutting round the lid, as the lid remains quite firmly in place on top of the can - I went round a can of tuna about 4 times before I realised it was in fact cut all the way round! You then have to turn the knob anti-clockwise in order to remove the tool from the can and THEN you have to use the silly little pincers at the side of the tool to grab hold of the lid and pull it off the can - a job which would be done oh- so much easier with a magnet! As it turned out, the water from my tin of tuna spilled out all over my daughters hand and all round my kitchen sink :-/

This is a great tin opener and it cuts the lid off so well and it doesn't leave a sharp edge. The leaver function for ring pull cans works well too.At first I didn't think the lid cutter was working but it was just user error and I really like the tin opener after I got used to how it makes the cut and how to separate the lid.The bottle opener is another useful function.I haven't used the jar opener so cant comment on how well this function works but its good to have built into this multi use kitchen tool.

Molto utile per aprire tappi a corona, lattine e scatolette con linguette a strappo. Risulta difficoltosa, invece, l'apertura di tappi a vite e dei coperchi dei vasetti. Considerando il prezzo e l'ingombro, avrei preferito che riuscissi a svolgere tutte le funzioni promesse.

My wife says this is the best opener she’s ever used. Given the amount of time she spends in the kitchen (loves to cook), I’d take her word as gospel. Liked it so much we ordered more for the rest of the family.
