Practically, YES! - I am in school for medical coding and we are using Shiland’s “Medical Terminology & Anatomy for Coding” book. I wanted to have cards to flip through every day to help cement the terms I am using but wasn’t sure which set would work best so I ordered a few to look at. Mosby’s was hands down my favorite choice. The cards are divided into prefix, suffix and combining forms with many having illustrations and helpful tips to cement the word / definition in your head. I wanted to figure out how many of the words from the Shiland book are in the flash card set, so I started in Chapter 1 of Shiland and went through my box. By the time I was half way through Chapter 2, it felt like already ⅓ of the words had been covered so I decided to stop. I know a lot of these words have been repeated in future chapters (I’ve gone through eight of 15 chapters of Shiland so far), so I’m comfortable that the Mosby flash cards will cover pretty much every prefix, suffix and word form in the book. I plan to use the Leitner Method when using these cards to study. Review: Best flash cards - When im studying these definitely come in handy! I would highly recommend if your learning medical terminology. Easy to use and understand.

Medical Terminology Flash Cards - Great Resource
The quality of these Medical Terminology Flash Cards are great. The paper is made of a good card stock and not thin. Ample room to use with a ring, too. The storage box is sturdy and within the storage box there is a guide to locate a specific card. I am using these for my Medical Assistant Course and I do not regret this purchase.

The only study guide you need for medical terminology
I am using these to prepare for an online medical terminology class. I like buying my study guides far in advanced, so I have time to read ( or even make my own index card / flash cards) the material. There is 675 cards in this box and easily fits in your backpack for carrying to the library or coffee shop. The top of the cards are color coded for section ( suffix, combining form) This box comes with a booklet, which also functions as a kind of book mark. Study for a bit, then place the booklet in the box at whichever card you ended at.

I was very excited to get these flashcards, as I was hand writing all mine out and it was taking me forever. I thought the price was a little steep, but I value my time, so I decided to make the purchase. I was upset when I received it because the box the cards come in (not the shipping box) was all damaged. The shipping box was in perfect condition, so I know it was not damaged through transit. Then, when I opened it and started to go through the cards, a bunch of them were all stuck together. It was mostly around where the hole punch is, however, I can't exactly put these on a ring (which is the intended purpose of the hole punch) if the cards are ripped at the hole punch portion. Needless to say, I was very upset with the damaged product, especially for the price of it.
