Q: Is ths product difficult to learn how to use properly?

No, this is by far the best forearm device that I have ever used. It is simple and easy to use and can work upper arms as well as forearms. It comes ready to use. I have seen hundreds of forums with people making fun of this, but only by people that have never actually tried it. The resistance can be set light enough for an infant to move it, up to a tension that I cannot move myself, and everything in between. I just bought another one (I have purchased three because every friend that picks it up wants to take it, and I just keep replacing the ones that I give to them. These are friends that are casual weight lifters and one who is a semi pro fighter. Now I will be purchasing another because a friend wanted one to strengthen her wrist muscles for fan spinning (kind of like baton twirling with fans). Overall, great device. It wouldn't hurt to get a sidewinder pro too to use in addition to the Bison-1. I have both, but if I had to pick just one, it would be the Bison-1. Hope tis helps

The difference is in the range of motion and load settings. Bestseller Bison-1m.

It uses bands inside for tension . Don’t know the range in pounds,but it is very difficult to move in the higher settings. They stopped producing this item a while ago,so if the bands get worn out,you won’t be able to find anymore .
