Detroit Torch dhc2000-pmk DHC2000 Welding and Cutting System ProMaster Kit

I havent picked up a torch in 25 years. I bought this because I needed a custom tow hitch for my military truck. I've been cutting and welding 3/8" mild steel plate and it is doing an incredible job. Especially cutting the 3/8" plate!!! It took me a little practice to get the hang of it but I'm now cutting almost as well as the guy in the instructional video. My welding is still looking sloppy but its not the torch, I just need more practice. This was well worth the investment. I'm already thinking of all the fabrication projects I could build with this torch.

I been torching for so long that i really though that this waz going to be amazing. I been trying every tip that came with on every metal gauge that i have and it just does not performe the way they say. We adjusted the gas and the and the oxy many time to specs and it just does not cuts. And is not send on the nice case that is picture so it can be well protected, NO ia sent on a $5 dollar ammo case, thats right your $600 tool gets to be tos around in a ammo case tbe rest of it life!

Great torch, works as advertised. I needed to weld at strange angles and it was hard to use.My only grip is it is too heavy.

I have multiple welders, including gas, MIG TIG, ARC, and multiple Torches. This is quickly becoming my goto tool for many jobs. There is a learning curve, but any accomplished welder will quickly arrive at the same conclusion I have, this is needed in everyones shop!

The product you get is not as pictured in 2 important ways.1- You do not get this handy organizing case. Instead you get a flimsy plastic ammo box in which your accessories will loosely pile at the bottom.2- The wrench pictured is critical in properly setting up 2 of the accessories, but it is NOT the wrench you get.The wrench pictured is now replaced with an adjustable wrench.The problem with this is that the adjustable wrench is thicker than the wrench pictured.The instruction book and the included DVD both demonstrate how to use the non-adjutable wrench THICKNESS to properly align 2 of the cutting heads. You cannot do this with the adjustable wrench because it is the WRONG THICKNESS.

wow! I love this torch. Most people I show it to underestimate it. Now I just let them stay ignorant.

I being using a acetyene torch for over 49 years. The Cobra torch was advertising how great it was. I read the literature and watched videos and tried it .Not happy with it and called company.
