Sony (SVM-F120P/2) Photo Printer Paper 120 sheets

Let me be perfectly clear: The product is 5-star. The price is below 1. I have been looking for these printer packs for nearly a year when I noticed the huge disparity in what I had been paying (around $30 for F120P) and what has become something akin to the way we are abused at the gas pumps. Sony (SVM-F120P/2) Photo Printer Paper 120 sheets Searches have come up with zip, zero, zilch regarding what has happened, except for one rather oblique link stating that Sony was selling their dye sublimation unit to an outfit called DNP. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to find out whether this new organization will or has already made print packs compatible with the TWO Sony digital printers that I have. What a rip off this all has evolved to.Further, I cannot understand or appreciate amazon.com continuing to advertise these overly-inflated and apparently "old stock" items from Sony. The print packs have clearly identified expiration dates which would lead me to believe that IF one had the inclination to pay perhaps 2 or 3 times what was once the normal charge, you'd wind up with something not only no longer manufactured, but out of date as well. A rip off.What I have learned from all of this is Sony is a low class organization packaged in world leader garb. I've been burned by them with sub-par customer service regarding cameras, printers and televisions. Now this!As for amazon.com, shame on you. I've been a customer of yours pretty much since the get-go and there is little doubt that anyone on your staff follows these comments - rants by any other name! Your pages are full of comments from well meaning individuals who reside in the Ether, but apparently never passed on to anyone who can rectify a bad situation. A rip off.UPDATE of Sep 4th, 2013:Maybe I am the only purchaser of this product who is unwilling to pay the extortionist pricing appearing on amazon.com's pages. Be that as it may, I have found that Sony IS still manufacturing these photo packs in spite of the sale to DNP previously mentioned. The F120P packs may be found for far, far less on abt.com's website. My most recent order from them shows a manufacturing date of June 2013 for them. Previously, J&R was carrying them for similar low, low pricing - but for whatever their reason - they no longer stock the F120P. For now and into whatever the immediate future holds - my orders will go to a competitor who is not gouging their customers.UPDATE of Nov 25th, 2013:I see the price for Sony F120P has dropped from around $90 per pack to $40 over the months. Amazing! There is no rationale behind these price fluctuations on amazon.com aside from whatever "one" wishes to price - one expects to find buyers. Not me. I have purchased 40 of these packs from abt.com for far less than this current pricing on amazon and with free shipping at that.UPDATE of Aug 26th, 2015:Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me! And the beat goes on with this . . .I ordered ten packs of SVM-F12-P/2 which has been my practice over the years. This time I tried amazon.com once again as the pricing came down to the high limits of what I consider affordable; $42.79 per pack. While the items arrived in a timely manner with no problems, I found that the production date for the print paper was September 2013 - that is one month shy of being two years old!Amazon can and should do better with being up-front regarding something like this. To in anyway infer that one is receiving "new" print paper would in all likelihood be translated to mean "new," as in not nearly 2 years old.Shame on amazon and most importantly, shame on me.Oh by the way, I have changed my review for the print packs to 5-star, as the stuff definitely satisfies my requirements and has over the years.

With free shipping, a very good value for dye-sublimation photopaper for the Sony DPP-F or DPP-FP series of photo printers. The box includes six 20-sheet paper packs and two 60-sheet ink film cartridges. Thus, you get the print paper and ink for exactly 120 4x6 inch prints. The older SVM-F120P box gave you three 40-sheet ink film cartridges. Since this retail box has two ink film cartridges instead of three, this box is smaller and takes up less storage space for the same number of prints. The 20-sheet paper pack is exactly the right number of sheets for the Sony printer input tray. This solves the annoying problem with the non-compatible Sony DPP-EX series of printers whereby the number of sheets in a paper pack was more than would fit in the input tray.Prints come out a bit sharper than with the Sony DPP-EX series. Also, the colors are more realistic, though the older Sony DPP-EX photo prints did have pleasing color. The printing process places "SuperCoat 2" on the finished prints, so they are waterproof.

I've been using this product for more than 5 years, the quality is great and saves the trip to the lab ** the big plus** this print last a long time and the Super Coat 2 make them water proof. Also, now that USPS sign a deal with amazon to deliver on Sunday is great, I was expecting to get this item some time in the middle of the week but instead I got it three days EARLY and on SUNDAY, great time to spend the afternoon with family printing our favorites pictures.

So far as I know, this is the only paper/ribbon available for 4" x 6" Sony photo printers. Always buy the larger packages if you can as there is a small cost saving. The prints are given a glossy protective finish after the three color passes. Compatible with many new and older Sony photo printers. Check compatiblity with your printer to be sure.

I was worried about the date code, because before DNP took over the manufacturing for Sony... the shelf stock was getting very old I had heard. BUT it's a current code and the box was new... and with DNP starting production again... the price with this one dropped back to original (and reasonable) levels. So I figure it a winner!

Ordered this as replacement when printer paper ran out. Every image I have tried to print since has been unusable. 1/4 to 1/2 of image is clear or rainbow colored. Tried different combinations of replacement cartridge and paper, still no usable images. Wasted $70.

I only bought it because I couldn't find it anywhere else. The price was outrageous but I needed some just to finish printing my photo's. After I use the rest of these I plan to throw the printer away since I can't find more of these at the reasonable price.

Only place I can find this product and its affordable too. As long as u keep the product available, I will continue to buy it from here.

Since Sony closed its retails stores in our part of the world, I wondered what I was going to do with such a terrific photo printer without the photo paper. Then after browsing the Amazon site, there it was! Just perfect and the the service at Amazon as usual was unbeatable. Now I will be able to print more of my pictures from my picture cards.

Product was a described. The printer delivers very very good photos and simply done. Pictures are printed promptly and in high quality. Only issue is that they are cropped and one needs to understand how to set print area to get the portion of the item printed as desired. Very easy to use. The materials to print which are a ribbon and postcard size paper are expensive compared to getting photos printed at a shop or on other printer. The pro side is ease in printing and quality. I have purchased the item before and expect to again.

Usual Sony quality, good price, arrived early, I've used these people before hence using them again, still can't beat looking at a photograph on old fashioned paper sometimes.

Item arrived very quickly and was exactly what i required at an excellent price. When required I will order more
