Stride RiteToddler Boys Harper Sandal

Of the dozen shoes I've somehow managed to buy for my two year old son over the past two years, these are hands down the best. I actually stumbled upon a pair of these used at a garage sale and when he outgrew those I came looking for them on Amazon. This time I purchased a wide version of them and they fit even better than the first pair as my son has wide feet despite being in a low percentile for weight. In addition to the excellent fit of these shoes, I am impressed by the quality. They hold up great and even on the days that he came home from school with scuff marks all over the shoes, they still cleaned up pretty nicely with a little polish or even sometimes just with a damp cloth. I also love that these are so open and his feet can breathe which is important because his feet seem to get hot easily. They are so easy to get on and off. I will definitely be repurchasing for as long as he doesn't start insisting on wearing paw patrol shoes.

I had previously purchased & returned the Stride Rite Hudson sandal because the 8 my son normally wears was way too large. The sole of that shoe was very chunky looking & rugged as well, making it more difficult for him to move around in. I also decided that I like the smooth, dressier look of the Harper sandal better. I ordered both the 7 1/2 & the 8 and to my surprise they are too small! My son's big toe is almost to the end of the size 8 sandal & it's only April. They fit ok for now, but by June or July I'm sure they will be too short. I don't see that it comes in bigger sizes, like the Hudson style does. Too bad because I'd be ordering an 8 1/2 for sure. I love this shoe. It goes to show you that not all sizes are created equal, even within the same brand! But taking my son to the Stride Rite store & paying substantially more seems unreasonable when Amazon has such competitive prices & flexible return policy. Better luck with the next pair.

These are my favorite little boy sandals, I have bought them every year for my now 1 and 3 year old. They are easy to put on and stay on their feet very well. They are true to size. My boys don't actually measure as needing a wide shoe, however in these sandals I do get a wide so that their feet don't stick to the sides like most sandals do (their feet may be a little chubby I will admit). It keeps them from leaving marks on their little feet. It is nice that stride rite offers the wide shoes for these cases when you want a little extra room in the shoe without going up a size! These shoes always last all summer long and hold up well. They are easy to rinse off after playing outside, yet you can put them with a nicer little pair of shorts and collared shirt and they compliment those nicer outfits as well. Like I said, These are my go-to summer shoe for my boys!

The shoes are super adorable! I will have to say the sizing chart is pretty damn annoying. According to their chart my son would be a size 4 xw and they were like 2inch to big. After spending almost 30 min on the phone with customer service they told me to order a size 3 even though they sizing chart didn’t match his measurements and the shoes are still a little big but they will work.Other then amazon SUCKING at their 2 day delivery and not delivering this on time I love the shoes.

A little tight in the ankle area but not bad. My kiddos have extra wide feet and there aren't too many options out there for that. We wouldn't be able to wear these daily because where the buckle is starts to hurt their feet after a while, but they are perfect for days when we have to dress a bit nicer. They hold up well and look super cute!! Also great price most of the time.

Durable leather, but still flexible and not too stiff. My 20-month old has been wearing them for a couple of weeks and they seem like they'll be able to take the kind of wear and tear you'd expect from an active toddler. Also, he's been wearing them from the start without socks and they don't rub or leave marks anywhere on his feet. They're pretty cute on; I just wish they came in navy.

I only buy Stride Rite for my boys and they always get so many compliments on their shoes. This pair of shoes is no different. I'm assuming that they are extremely comfortable because my 2 year old brings me his shoes to put on in the house and sometimes he doesn't want to take them off after we get home. Gotta love a great quality shoe.

These are well made excellent shoes. I should have ordered an extra-wide. My grandson has inserts he should wear in his shoes, so the wide wasn't quite wide enough, and after a couple of days of wear he was getting blisters. He is wearing them fine without the orthotics, but I was looking for something he could use them in. I did not think I should return them used. Next time I will know to order an extra-wide.

These shoes are gorgeous and durable! These are the best quality sandals that I could find. They are leather and extremely comfortable for my little boy. If you can afford it I say don't cheap out on plastic shoes, go for high quality leather like these.
