Raw Macadamia Nuts 5 lb-CandyMax

Been burned by bad nuts before I took chance to order this batch. What pleasant surprise! They are fresh and crunchy, well sealed in a plastic bag inside cardboard box. These are middle sized, less sweet kind. They are not whole but full of typical raw macadamia taste, making our taste buds very satisfied. Attractive price made this purchase worth a shot.

I went through a 5 lb bag of these very quickly. They were fresh and delicious. I couldn't find them again to reorder for Christmas so tried a different brand. Sorely disappointed in brand X. Hope I'll be able to find Candymax brand in the future.

Quality was OK in that a small portion of the nuts were soft/chewy. There are other competing brands of similar weight that have better quality Macadamia Nuts; however, the price is more too. I use these nuts in homemade macadamia nut-butter and toast them in the oven prior to processing. The toasting and processing with desiccated coconut (unsweetened) "hides" any quality imperfections. All in all, I will buy them again because the price offsets the quality issues.

These have an odd flavor.

These Macadamias taste old, stale, almost rancid. Look like they have dirt on them. Can't eat them. Contacted Candy Max - they replied it is Amazon's fault. I had two previous Candy Max Macadamia deliveries that were fine. Very disappointed.

I'm on a no sugar, no grains, and high fat diet. Macadamia nuts power me through every day. I usually purchase my raw macadamia nuts from wholefoods 2 lbs at a time. They last around 2 weeks for me. After seeing the 5 lb bag on Amazon for several dollars less than wholefoods I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did! Not only are they cheaper, but they have a better crunchy texture. I will be buying these from now on!The only thing I would like to see is a stronger bag that's reclosable. I did have several small holes on delivery.

We eat a LOT of these. Typically go to Costco. These are less expensive, fresher, and this batch has had no stale pieces. Pleasantly surprised.

These are a bit on the small side and most are not whole, but they taste great and for the price, they are nevertheless an amazing value.
