Fab-u-lous dye! 👍
Quick Backstory: M&S were recently selling a Utility Style Gillet, both in Black as well as White. Unfortunately, any stores I went to there was no black gilets in stock - only white - and unfortunately we cannot buy online due to a recent cyber attack on their website. Not wanting to go home empty-handed, I had a lightbulb moment, why not just dye a white one black? And that's what I did!I did my homework carefully on dyes, as well as the fabric composition of my gilet, and settled on Fabricoat black dye. And I'm glad I did!Compared to other dyes, with Fabricoat you literally just paint it on the fabric you want to dye. Just dampen your chosen fabric first, and paint away! I used a combination of a small paint roller and a narrow brush for the harder crevices on my gilet. So far so good! I've completed the outside of the gilet, and once that's dried in a couple of days, I'll be doing the same on the inside of it.I wasn't sure if a single bottle would suffice, but I'm confident I'll have enough left to do the inside once the gilet has dried.Super delighted with the outcome so far. Very pigmented and with a slight viscous about it which makes it easy to apply without running all over the place.Happy customer, would buy again.

Great for DIY project, car restoration
I used this fabric dye paint on my car seat belts they were originally cream but over time stained with dirt that wouldn't wash off so I dyed them to match the other parts of the interior brown and cream looks nice and smart now I also used abit in the cream leather steering wheel that was also stained with macanic greece oil and dirt wasn't sure it would work it's fabric dye bit still worked on my steering wheelIt's not watery runny dye it's like paint thick and easy to apply it says 2 hrs to dry but It was hot day so it dried fast small bottle but it done 5 seat belts and a steering wheel still tiny bit left in bottle case I need itSo if your doing a big project might need more then one bottle 5 starts off me doenst rib off on my clothing it's great dye paint

Good product
Great product, covers well but you do need to keep fabric damp or can go a bit patchy

Brilliant product
Great product. I bought the 2.5l bottle to paint a pink bed to grey. I did do 2 coats of the whole bed as its a chenille fabric and as the headboard has sponge behind it does soak in a bit. 2 coats looks amazing. Could've got away with 1 thoigh if you don't touch up bits after as they are noticeable (could be because its a light shade). I'd never heard of fabric paint or thought you'd be able to paint a bed so I'm very pleased as my 17 year old boy didn't want a pink bed (it was given to us free). Super impressed. 2.5l does a whole double bed in chenille fabric twice.

Lovely colour
The colour was great but alas the coverage was not that good . The size was supposed to cover an armchair but was colouring a blind and wasnt enough and was ver patchy . Alas an expensive way to upcycle a roman blind that is now in the bin . I think it is a good product with very low odour and easy to use. I would buy it again but only use it on smàller items .

Yes yes yes just do it!!! You won't regret!
Okay, so going to level with you all. I used half as much as recommended as I'm cheap and wanted a quick fix for my manky ikea grey sofa that very early on looked faded and roughhhhh. So before investing in totally new covers (custom as they don't make our sofa anymore, so would be minimum £350) I decided to give this a bash. I used 3 parts paint to 1 part water dilution- they don't say to do this, like I said, I'm cheap. I washed the original covers and whilst they were still wet, over a series of 3 days, repeatedly painted being sure to concentrate on anything obviously visible and the piping edges. Yes it's a bit messy - I probably would advise gloves but hey, I'm an unorganized person so I did sport blue hands for a couple days afterwards.Overall pretty easy to use a d paint, make sure the fabric you're applying it to is wet as it does soak in and look more natural rather than just painted on top. I painted on a patchy dark grey sofa with the blue paint and the colour playoff is fabulous!! Would for sure recommend for any quick fixes or up cycles anyone is doing. I've tried on other furniture in the past with other brands and can honestly say this was the best I've used yet. Very effective and great coverage.Do it!! Just go for it!!

Amazing and saved a fortune
Absolutely brilliant product, bought 5 bottles to do my bed frame, only used 3. Coverage is excellent only needed 1 coat. I went for the charcoal grey and it’s perfect! Really fab idea for a colour change instead of buying a new bed!

Wouldn't recommend
Didn't work at all for me and heartbroken as it was promising. Washed off on clothes and eventually just left the stick green and looks shabby
