The book looks really old. I think this is second hand book.
The condition of the book is really bad. I thought they would send us a new book. But it looks like a old one. I would rather buy it from publishers website.

It is really basic physics course.
It is intended for someone who knows nothing about physics and wants to learn the basics of the surrounding world in a simple way. The book explains how we define speed, force, etc., how sound works, how light works. There is no modern mathematics, such as differential equations or mathematics used in quantum physics. In my opinion, the basics are quite shallow. That's a good description: a very broad range of knowledge, not touched too deeply.

Great for University!
A lot more content then the previous. Really handy in giving a clear understanding.

A solid intro physics book for young mind
My seventh grade girl started to ask me questions that she encountered in science Olympiad prep. Quickly I realized they were basic physics problems. Unfortunately the middle school curriculum does not carry it and she need some systematic intro to physics before she can google topics online and makes sense out of it. The book serves the purpose as a gentle intro to physics. Not too hard, well organized and with exercise.
