Saved a LOT of money and easy piece to replace!

I’d been looking at a plantation blind with a hanging slat at my mother in law’s house for a couple years, trying to figure out a DIY fix. None of my crappy ideas worked. 😂 Finally got the bright idea to see if anyone on YouTube had a video on this topic. Lo and behold, there were several videos covering a variety of issues. One guy showed exactly how these little replacement pins work and how easy they are to install. Had to get my better half to use the drill to remove the old wooden pin, which he mentioned you might need to, in his instructions. Another good tip he mentioned is to use a credit card to keep the spring-loaded part of the pin pushed in as you slide the slat back into place against the frame. Worked like a charm, and the pin went in, just perfect. 🙂 My MIL is super happy, so that makes me happy!

Required modification. Collar is too thick.

I have looked for item like this for over a year and was so happy to have found it. It was exactly what I needed to repair a blade on my shutters.
