It works great for off grid minimalists
And would likely be a great idea for autistic children whom get agitated with Loud vibrating electric clippers. I believe this would be a serious Quality of life upgrade for those diagnosed as within the Autistic spectrum I hope my review helps atleast one Parent with an Autistic Child please consider recommending this item for that reason Amazon

Child hates clipper buzzing
My 6yr old hates the buzzing from regular clippers so I bought this thinking " Hey! What a great alternative". No absolutely not. They came today, I took em out took off the cover to give it a shot, ( keep in mind his hair is short I just need to even out what I was able to trim with scissors) I put it close to start to trim and it grabbed the hair and wouldn't cut, just pulled it. So that was super fun. He ran from me and now I'm annoyed at these.

Good for Cats
Quality is OK, not a high end product but functional. This works really well to trim mats out of our cat's fur without scaring her - she thinks it's a brush but when we get to a mat we can safely snip it out. It's obviously silent compared to electric clippers so she stays much more relaxed.

used it to cut off matting hair on my cat. he is definitely scared of this, but not at scared as he is of an electric trimmer. overall did its job and i only suffered a few scratches.

Top issue is that the cap is plastic
had to get a 3mm nut to replace the nut that hold everything together because honestly, it's a decent clipper for what I paid. The cap is a plastic part painted silver with a rubber bit inside. Keep the rubber part.I wanted something I could keep with me that didn't use power, but this is 100% a cheap manufactured product and if you wanna be more conscious of what you buy, maybe go on another platform. If you need to shave your head for $10, it'll work. It's gonna come in very oiled and the directions are in Chinese. You are paying for cheap mass manufactured goods. If this is an issue, you can find better ones for $40+ more that might have been made 1920 that still work.Long term, I think taking it apart to clean after every use (or once a month) and replacing the plastic after it breaks, it'll last. Keep the rubber part so the metal doesn't fuse.If you need to care something to shave and you don't know that you'll have power, it'll work.YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT. You need to consistently squeeze and release. Shaving your whole head or the sides you can see would be a good starting place, but you have to learn how to use them without pulling on your hair. Don't be scared of them. I have yet to cut myself. and I cut my hair weekly. First week was a little uneven, but just had to go over it again and we're good.
