I was worried at the UPS drop-off, because the unwieldy weight of the birchwood in the box had begun to smash its way out of the box during the shipping process. Well, that turned out to be no problem at all because of the extremely hard nature of the high quality birch used, and the excellent packaging design. All of the little bits you would be worried might slip out of a box [like instructions, hardware, smaller easel parts] starting to come open in transit were safely nestled in the center of the packaging. The instructions for assembly are like a master class in how to write fantastically logical and easy to follow assembly instructions. They reveal the minds of excellent product designers, and very skilled graphic designers and technical writers. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone involved in making this went to university to learn their applicable knowledge, and were highly ranked in their classrooms. I hope this manufacturing company values their people, because this it seriously the work of an excellent team. If you look at my photo of all of the parts laid out, each part is labeled with a number, each hardware piece is in a bag according to individual type, and each of those is lettered. It all corresponds beautifully to the instructions and the schematics. Every bit of it needed was there, and the kit included a flat head & Philips screwdrivers, and a wrench key. You have everything needed to put this together, and they have made doing so as easy and as logical as possible. And then best of all but no surprise to me once I saw how fabulously designed and organized the instructions and parts were: the quality and functionality of this easel is just wonderful. It rolls beautifully, it adjusts position and angle like a dream, it does all of the positions and angles the Product Description claims, the sturdiness and ease of use is excellent, and it can accommodate canvases from tiny to giant wall covering size (check the Product Description for scope). Now - this is a big beast. It could be folded somewhat and rolled into a closet or garage. But when it is out being used, this sturdy easel is not invisible. So just know that you are committing some physical space by getting this one rather than a dinkier, lighter, but more limited and flimsy easel. I would only get this one if you are really, truly going to use it. But if you are going to truly use it, I can't imagine there is a better, more functional easel out there. I would order another product from this company in a heartbeat. I have never been so pleasantly surprised by something I've ordered from Amazon actually turning out to be better than I expected.

Easel arrive on schedule an well packaged. Assemble takes about 1 hour, but was made easy with included tools and clear instructions with numbered labeling on all parts. This is a large format unit for medium to large canvases. While heavy - given the high quality of materials, build mechanics, and included casters it is properly fit for purpose for beginning to serious artists. At the before Xmas purchase price of $167 it is an excellent value. This Viswin unit matches similar easels sold at Art Supply stores for twice the price.

I am very pleased with my purchase of this VISWIN H Frame Easel. I was impressed as it's very sturdy and well made, and best of all not expensive at all. All parts where labeled, and assemble instructions very easy to understand. I put it together myself as I am very handy and I had no issues at all, but some people may need help assembling. Customer service was very quick in responding and getting back with me when I contacted them. Highly recommend this product.

Better than expected! Truly a dream easel for anyone working with small to extra large size projects.. Great instructions, 2 complimentary high quality screw drivers are awesome. Very satisfied will buy from VISWIN again! Fast accurate shipping! Makes an excellent gift as well, the wood used is superb!

It looks good. It works great. It's big. It does the stuff.

I'll reserve 1 star since I've barely used it. It's solid and stable. All the necessary tools to put it together were there but it definitely was not a product I could assemble without help. The illustrations were a bit confusing at times. All in all, though, I'm pleased with it.

If you're on the fence, buy it! This easel is stunning, well built, and easy to assemble - I did it by myself. The moving parts glide effortlessly (from vertical, angled, to lying flat) and the wheels roll smoothly across wood and carpet. I can see this as an heirloom piece. It is that well made. I live in a 400 sq ft cabin, and it fits nicely in the corner when not in use. My 10' ceiling prevents me from fully extending the mast, but it's good to know that it will also work in a bigger space with larger canvases down the road. I am extremely happy with this purchase and look forward to using it for many years.

This is like, WAY bigger than my old easel. It barely fits in my converted bedroom studio- but it's so NICE! The pieces are well made, all the holes line up and are drilled out properly, and the instructions are pretty clear. Due to its size I won't be easily able to lay it flat in my smaller room because it knocks my pendant light but the function is super smooth and doesn't feel like it's going to snap the easel in half like my older one. The mast is TALL- and if you need to lift the tray up for not-enormous canvases it gets taller without even pull the adjustable part up because the tray is connected the the fixed part of the mast- but that's not a bad thing necessarily, one less part to adjust unless you're working huge scale. For the price it's got to be the best easel you can buy, and it feels like it's going to last for a long time!
