This will not tell you if your collection has value!
Didn't finish reading yet. It seems though, that this person has done most of their digging in the middle to western part of the US. There are not enough pics for me, and not enough of finds from the east coast, and not enough detail in the pics, to do what I hoped this book would do for me. Which was identify what I was finding and only pick up if there was a value historically or beautifully. And this won't do that. Sticking to the internet. Or maybe will try Overstreet. They seem to be the most notable in the field.

Needs Better, and More actual pictures
This book has lots of information, but very few actual pic, and mostly drawings. It would be a lot more informing to see actual pictures instead of the drawings

Disappointing
Illustrations don’t appear to be done by a professional artist. Very little info on artifacts from the Midwest or eastern states. I found several examples of the text contradicting what was shown in the corresponding illustrations. There were also contradictions in the taxonomy of artifacts. And many of the color photos were of useless landscapes or of the author’s personal collections without any labeling of individual items shown. I would also expect that after multiple editions of the book, typos would be rare, but they’re all over the place. I would not recommend this book.

Terry Baxter of WesternArtifacts.com says:
This one is a MUST HAVE for serious artifact hunters or for those who aspire to be... it's the ABSOLUTE BEST guide for finding ancient arrowheads and artifacts. The reason I like this one best is because it first educates the reader about all sorts of artifacts, with lots of photos; it explains what they look like and what they were used for, etc... just so you'll know "what" to look for out in the field. It then goes on to give information about the types of ancient sites, AND how to locate them !(I also like it because it's VERY inexpensive, for the information it imparts.)Sincerely,Terry BaxterWesternArtifacts.com

Great book.
Great book...from Kindle! but expected 3rd edition like pictured but it was 2nd edition. Look forward to it being updated when the third is Kindle available. One of the best books I have seen on North American indigenous artifacts.
