Great for learning switch management
I bought this switch to learn how to configure layer 3 switches (it does not blatantly say this is a layer 3 switch but it is), and it was great for learning. this switch has the ability to configure down to the switch-port for different VLANs, a dedicated switch IP for each switch-port, or for each VLAN. this switch also can be configured for ACLs and DHCP with the built in routeing functions and this switch is expandable with the use of a crossover cable and configuring a switch-port to a trunk interface. this is absolutely amazing for the price point of the switch. it even has two SFP ports (there combo with Ethernet ports 9 & 10) so if you choose, you could use a hard line copper SFP cable or a transceiver for a fiber line to what you are running, both of which could be configured (in the CLI ONLY) to be 10 Gig connections making this very good for learning real word uses of switches. and ultimately this is a Cisco switch which is one of the most commonly used switches/routers in use in the enterprise environment. i truly recommend this product to anyone who is trying to learn switch management ether because they are curious about more sophisticated networking equipment or to try to learn the skill for work. One small short coming of this is that the switch is a small business switch and some of the command differ from enterprise switches but they are mostly the same syntax that is used.

Very Fast
I bought this switch mainly because I needed PoE for my access point. I could have bought something much cheaper but I had heard a lot about managed switches being the way to go over unmanaged switches. I already had a Cisco RV325 router that works very well so I decided to go with this switch. When I got it I didn't really know too much about layer 2 and layer 3. Once I realized layer 3 works like a router on the IP layer, I decided to try using it to do all of the routing and operate the DHCP servers. My network, including the internet is noticeably faster! I have some wifi light bulbs that work instantaneously. Not that things were slow before but things are now faster. There is a pretty decent learning curve to get this switch but tech support was helpful even though I still had to figure out a few things myself. All in all this device works very well.

Great layer 3 switch with support WAN / LAN from your ISP
Installed this switch for a client with a LAN CIDR block routed through a WAN IP from their ISP.Broad brushstrokes: Pickup up a db9 to usb cable it makes it easier to do a portion of the config via the CLI. Out of the box, allow your ISP to assign an IP over DHCP on port 1. Use putty or eq attach to the console port to find dynamic IP, or access your ISP to find the IP they assigned. via console cli: "show interface ip"Access the switch browser interface via the dynamic ip from step 1. Config port10 to Layer-3, assign your WAN ip to this port. Set up an any/any static route 0.0.0.0/0 with your next hop the wan ip gateway. Move modem connection to port 10, clear your arp table on your modem. Confirm you have this correct by accessing the switch web portal via your static wan ip.Now convert VLAN 1 to your CIDR block with the first IP is your faux gateway and the rest of the block is routable. VLAN 1 will show as DHCP assigned, add a new static IP entry with the first usable IP in your block, the switch will automatically remove the DHCP entry for VLAN 1.

Rock solid layer 3 PoE switch - Highly recommend it if you need the features it offers
I replaced a SG300-10 with this switch and it's a major step up in terms of reliability and stability from the earlier SG300 series; The software has been updated so the switch ui isn't quite the same, but the update is well worth having to relearn where a few things are / how things work. The command line interface remains largely unchanged, and that's a good thing (IMHO)The hardware has been updated as well, with the old 9pin serial port being replaced with a standard-to-enterprise-cisco serial port with a jack type connector (cable included) and the switch feels (qualitatively only) faster (from a UI perspective)Rock solid reliability is still the hallmark of of Cisco switches, it's been up/running without any issues for as long as I've owned it.I recommended the original SG300 series, and the upgrades to the SG350 make it even better and even more worth a recommendation.

Great switch for the price
I bought this to use as a switch in my home office. Additionally, I wanted to use it to keep my Cisco command-line skills fresh. No worries for those that don’t want to use the command line to configure it. It works out of the box and it also has a web interface for ease of administration.

Works right out of the box!
This is a managed switch so it supports many options for controlling communications. But for my simple application to support a wireless router out in my barn, none were needed. So I just plugged in the router and turned on the switch. Everything is working fine! And there is no fan to make noise. Plus I get Power-Over-Ethernet to power cameras and other devices on the remaining outlets. A great buy from a reliable company. My other Cisco switches have been running 7 years without any problems.

It’s just ok
I was under the impression this had PoE capability. Guess I should of looked a little more in depth. Oh well. Over all it’s a decent switch except it won’t function unless being plugged into a router. I tried to merely console in, but it won’t work that way. It must have an active internet connection.

Great Features at this Price
More features than you would expect in an SMB switch at this price point and has plenty of Security features built in. I replaced a Netgear Pro Safe which ran so hot I was afraid it would catch on fire. The SG350-10P is fanless, cool and currently powers both my AP and a Cisco SG250-08 (Also great) The Netgear interface was junk this is much better and also has standard IOS commands as well. The reviews here about the interface locking up are IMO either someone who received a faulty switch or doesn’t know what they are doing. This switch in it’s price range IMO can’t be beat by anything else on the market. I’ve done IT for a living the last 20 years - I do not work for Cisco.

Ottimo

Good enough device
I am a Cisco fan.Just got this device recently and today, I needed to reset the box.As soon as I pushed the reset button, it went down and out of commission.I have managed to reset the box via portal but my expectations from the brand was much higher. In any event, I just can give it a good enough star and nothing more.
