Inquiry-Based Lessons in World History: Global Expansion to the Post-9/11 World (Vol. 2, Grades 7-10) Paperback – 15 May 2019

This is so helpful laying out a lesson, providing links to articles, and tips for the activities. This one of my goto resources for deepening lessons.

There isn’t anything wrong with this book. It’s a fine resource for a World History teacher, it’s just not what I had expected. I had expected this to be more creative and innovative inquiry-based lessons when in reality each lesson simply has students use some reading strategy to read primary sources and make a claim. Again, this is totally fine, just not what I had hoped for. Additionally, many of the primary sources (especially maps and cartoons) are not included but rather are accessible via a url printed in the book which just irked me. Overall, not a bad resource, but I didn’t think it was worth the price.
