I purchased this meter for my solar panel project as I wanted a volt meter/fuel gauge to monitor the state of charge.I was surprised that the light stays on all the time, but it does not use much power.I did not like the "fuel gauge" ranges that the manufacturer set for the AGM batteries and none of the other battery types seemed to match my needs. Luckily, the device has a user mode that lets you set them as you wish. In my case, I set 12.0 volts to equal empty and 13 volts equal to full. All this is documented in the directions.I have not had the meter very long, and the lack of reviews kind of scared me (I think it's fairly new on the market), but I am thus far happy with the purchase.

Easy install is pretty accurate but one of my LED numbers if not lit up properly and fades the number out.

I thought that installation instructions were poorly written. Now that I installed on 48 volt club car golf cart I am not pleased with quality of display. There are bars on charge level that do not show when batteries are completely charged. Also you can not read display when wearing polarized sunglasses.
