The ri g mandrake is metal and very sturdy. I bought it because it doesn’t have a flat surface on one side like so many do. It’s round all the way around and makes ring making much easier. A downside is the ms deal is graduated and has no ring size surface to wrap wire for your rings. This allows half sizes to be available but makes consistent ring size wrapping difficult although possible. The ring sizers are good quality on a cable ring so that is good. The plastic ring sizer looks to be handy but haven’t used it. All in all a good kit and a good value.

This is literally so good for the price. It's made of metal and feels heavy and nice. I use it every day to make jewelry and have dropped it so many times, no dents or nothing. If you need a mandrel get this one. It also comes with ring sizer rings that are super nice as well and heavy. I haven't used the other couple of items it came with yet, but they seem useful if you have a ring that is too big and can't get it resized yet. The amount of stuff you get for the price and how well made it is, is insane. Thanks to the maker and sellers for providing us affordable, yet not cheaply made tools! I seriously am so impressed.

I lost about 20 pounds and my rings didn't fit. So I bought the next size smaller rings and that seemed good. Then I lost another 10 pounds and the next size smaller was loose. Oh, man! Not that I didn't need to lose weight. I did. But once it got started, it didn't stop. Funny thing is the doc told me that the medication I take (which seems to have started the weight loss) usually makes people gain weight. *laughing!* So, with no clue what ring size to get next, I got this excellent product and viola, I knew exactly what size to get, until the next bunch of weight comes off. But that won't be a problem with this gem of a product! I used both the individual ring sizes and the wand because I think wider bands fit different than skinnier ones. Also, with the ring adjuster, I can keep wearing my favorite rings when I want to. One last thought, I never knew what size my pinky was so I never bought pinky rings. Now I can! YAY! Great product! I bought a different ring sizer on amazon in a slightly different "style". I immediately tried every ring onto the mandrel of that one, and about HALF of them were totally off the mark. I returned it and bought this one. In the wake of my recent purchase, this one is great, but not perfect. I tried each ring, once again, and on this one, only two of the rings are not exactly true to the size embedded on them. (Sizes 2.5 and 6) They are pictured here, and they are pretty close to dead on, but not quite. Every other ring fit EXACTLY on the line it was supposed to. I included a picture of the size 13 ring to show how dead on the correct ones all are. I like that this one is perfectly round, no grooves along the edge like so many. Those grooves are extremely sharp. I also like that there are simple, large print numbers of U.S. sizes only. Much easier on the eyes and simpler to read, and I personally don't need to know sizes from 3 other countries, as are printed on most that I found. I like that it's stainless steel also, and I imagine the plastic ones would have to wear and become inaccurate.

Didn’t want to have to run to jewelry store just to get sizes. Having your own on hand also help if you are trying to measure for fingers that may swell and shrink through the day. Also the ring wand had no sharp edges. As soon as a friend found out I got this she questioned the size of a ring. This has met our needs at an affordable price for quality. The size markings could be better but it got the job done just fine.

Love this! I am very pleased with the quality. The mandrel is all metal, smooth and easy to read. I was able to able check my own rings for accuracy on the mandrel. I have verified that sizes 5 - 10 are accurate, for sure with my own items. The included rings also match for size accuracy, and are smooth/easy to try on. This is definitely a good quality item and I was pleasantly surprised!

Bought this so I could stop guessing my ring size and it works great. I love the rings because I fit them over my finger to see which size fits best and and the ring sizer works great on rings I already own that I don't know the size of.

Most of these have a flat side & when making rings it leaves creases instead of keeping them round. This 1 it round & smooth. The only thing I would change is for the size grooves to be deeper. Cause when wrapping wire it slides around instead of staying in the groove or notches
