They seem to actually do what they claim!
I have spent a fortune on every kind of mouse trap I could find, and while they work for a couple of days the mice catch on to them right away. And then, the fancy and regular mouse traps stop working, because the mice get smart to them and don’t go in there. However, it would appear that these things actually work, and more than that, they actually have been effective in deterring what we call “piss ants” that nothing seems to get rid of. Now, we did get warmer weather. And there is the possibility that the mice decided to go outside cause it was warmer. So I can’t be 100% ssure that it was these electronic deterrent that worked. But it sure seems to me that it’s the first thing that actually has made a difference. I guess we won’t really know until winter time when we see whether mice return. But at the moment these things seem to be the first thing that actually works on a long-term basis.

Snake Oil at its Finest
This is an utterly useless product. You may as well sit there and say "Go away spiders!" and expect them to just scurry away. I was fooled by what appear to be genuine reviews. This thing flashes a light and makes a clicking sound all day and night. We are to believe it emits "vibes" repelling insects and spiders. How hilarious it was to see insects AND spiders, sitting right ON the device! Oh an how convenient the instructions say to plug it in and wait several weeks, during which time, your window of return, EXPIRES! We waited a few weeks, and saw even more spiders and all other bugs. We bought 12 of these to put throughout the house. It was a nightmare, and we finally paid liek $500 to an exterminator to take care of the problem. I suggest not buying these ridiculous empty-shell plastic things, and buy a gallon of Begone from the hardware store instead. Spray it on all the edges of your home, inside and out and that'll work well. Or hire someone. Just don't buy these things that are mass produced and marketed just to make a fast buck.

From a skeptic... this product works.
I have toyed with the idea of ultrasonic pest repellers for decades now, yes - decades. None of them over the years have worked. I just moved back into my old house after a complete renovation and we've just been fighting the never ending problem with ants. In the kitchen (of course), in the bathroom (weird, but ok), in the shower (weirder), in the laundry room, in the hall way, in the bedrooms... ok... in every room. You can't sit or stand anywhere for more than 2 minutes before you realize something crawled up your leg or already on your neck. My parents lived there for many years and complained about ants, but since I didn't live there for many years, I didn't understand how big of a problem it was. Even the contractors complained about the massive amount of ants in the house. Well, I decided to bring back one of my old ultrasonic repellers. I plugged it in for a couple days and - the ants were still there. I took it outside, where there are a swarm of ants. Plugged it in for a couple days. The ultrasonic was/is deafening, high pitch but the ants hadn't even budged. Even my dog turned to it like, "what's that annoying thing?", but we still had ants. I bought these repellers because a reviewer actually mentioned "in 2 weeks" and another reviewer mentioned "in a couple days". Ok, this is some data you can use, not just "works great" and "didn't work for me". So I installed these (pack of 3, just to try at first) in the kitchen and in 2 of the bedrooms. The next day, yes, I still had ants, however a lot less. And yes, day 2, I basically had zero ants an any of the rooms I installed these units in. I say basically because I still have ants on the other side of the kitchen, behind the fridge. I think the ultrasonic wave is not able to get there so I will find a way to install another unit near the fridge. I did order another pack of 3, which I will install in the other rooms and fridge. These units work! It took 2 days to work. Now to comment on the physical unit itself. Yes, these things are chunky and I was hoping I could find some that fit along side the light switches or electrical outlets for a cleaner install. Please let me know if anyone knows of one and one that works. It does make a ticking noise every few seconds. I think it is bursting ultrasonic waves instead of constantly flooding, like older units. It is annoying and another reviewer mentioned "you get use to it over time". Well, these have been working for about 2 weeks and I'm still not use to it, especially at night with all the lights off. All you hear is "tick... tick... tick... tick...". Is there any other way? I don't know if ants respond to higher frequencies and maybe the ticking will go away, but I wouldn't know. Anyway, without the "clean look", I would highly recommend these units, especially for ants. I still have spiders hanging around so, no, they don't appear to work on spiders. Also, placement seems to be really important as well as giving it a couple days, since ants to travel on a trail, so even if the immediate ants respond to the product, the ants further down the trail won't know what will hit them just yet.

It works
These work for us! A friend told us about this product, and we have used them for almost 20 years. We have given them to college bound family members, and friends who needed them. All have had good results. I have three in the garage and no mouse problems anymore. Took them to work when we had a mouse issue, and it took care of it. Just remember not to block it, don’t put anything in front of the unit. Let it work.

Item arrived on time. Since it was ordered in the UK I expected it to be designed for the UK. But devices have a two prong system which indicates for 120 volt. The British plug system is a 3 prong plug and 240 volt.I have returned it.

Plugged these in with high hopes. Red light flashed slowly on all units which according to the instructions indicates that they are active. Went to check the units on day 3 and none of the lights are flashing. Tried different sockets, etc. but no indicator lights functioning on any of the 3 units. Massively disappointed and a total waste of money.
