Good bit, great price.
Used for flattening 7" thick oak slabs. Cutters last pretty well. Turned nserts after about 10 hours of running. It wasn't burning yet but could hear the spindle working a little harder so opted to turn the cutters and kept running. I was using a 2.2kw spindle and was taking around 1/8" max at a time, about 30% stopover. With a final pass about 1/16" left a very smooth finish. All machining traces sanded out easily with 120 grit.

Purchased for leveling a walnut-resin slab
Needed a new leveling bit for my current project ... leveling a walnut-resin slab for a fly tying workbench that I'm making. I like the four carbide cutter blade bits because I knew I could rotate or replace them when they dull with usage. It worked great, left a smooth and very sandable surface with no sign of burning or unusual wear. Recommend!

Holds up pretty well.
I bought this to use in a router sled, and it’s held up nicely. First project was a very large cherrywood slab covered in hardened resin. Went through it smooth for the first 40 minutes of near continual use.Once it started to feel slightly choppy, I just rotated the blades with the hex tool included, and it was good to go again.Slightly costly bit, but it feels worth it now that I’ve used it.If anything changes I’ll update this review.

Spetool 2-1/2 surfacing bit
Two of the inserts that came with this are badly chipped one of the four is broken with about 1/3 of it missing. When I saw that I did not use it because it would probably be way out of balance and I did not want to destroy my spindle. I didn’t think I would have to replace the insterts before I could even use it so I did not order any when I bought it but I guess I will have to order some and wait to use it. I have bought spetool router bits before and they are awesome and I thought this one would be also

much better than I was expecting
Spoilboard bits are iffy at best some times especially if you are not going with one of the top brands. Well surprisingly this is spot on. I use it in a slab mill and nearly 0 sanding needed after the final pass. Keep your speeds down and rotate the carbide often for the best results. DO NOT do climb cuts greater than 25% or it will run from you.

Cuts like it's butter
Just got finished surfacing a42x46 mdf on my cnc router. 15,000 rpm at 160 ipm. Smooth as silk now. Not sure when I'll have to use it again so longevity, I can't speak about just yet 😜

Worked great on router
This works great on my router. I can’t figure out how to message the seller though. I’m wondering what’s the max speed is for this bit. I want to try it on my CNC

Better than expected
I purchased this for an overhead router sled I built to surface large live edge table tops. The difference between this and the cheaper bit is like night and day. This one far exceeds what I expected, it eats the wood up without working the router.Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it for this use

River tables
I look forward to using the 2.5 inch bit. One small disappointment is the replaceable bits are smaller than all the ones I currently have on other pieces of equipment and replacement bits. It is what it is though. I think the best part for me is the value.

Not impressed..
First off, I own about 10 different SpeTool router bits and never had an issue, nor did I have to contact s their support. My bit came cross threaded and with a burr and wasn't able to fix it. I reached out to them as to how to solve the situation and never recieved a reply.I had to go a different route and order a different bit from a different company in order to meet my deadline on the project.Like I said, I am a fan of SpeTool bits but this has left a bad taste in my mouth and not sure I will continue to be a customer.

Alles in allem gute Qualität
