Excellent indoor, FPV trainer!!! Love it, love it, love it!
This is my first FPV drone and its turning out to be an amazing little drone!First, I'm very new to RC and flying anything. I started just a couple months ago with a Blade Nano QX. That's a nice little one, but not FPV. I got to try flying an Inductrix and was sold. For ~$200 getting a little FPV drone, battery, charger, controller/transmitter and monitor, is an awesome deal.I've had my Inductrix for just over a month now, flying it about 30-60 minutes a day. Its a gem! I've run it into things (by accident :) ), got stuck in plants, over-shot tables and crashed it from 3' to 20' heights (by accident :) ) - and its still flying. oMy blade are now just a little off level, (see below), but its still flying a-ok. Its been just about indestructible. I have been very, very impressed with it.Some notes -1) The transmitter - the controller/transmitter it ships with is a great starter transmitter. But I bought a Spektrum DX6 transmitter about a week ago and WOW - going to the DX6 from the default transmitter was like going from driving a Toyota to driving a Mercedes - WAY nicer. The DX6 gives so much more fine-level control of the drone's speed and rotation. But again, for starting flying FPV, right away, right out of the box, the inductrix's default transmitter is fine. BTW - Blade makes an attachment that lets you attach your phone or the Induxtrix's screen/monitor to the DX6 - but so far I haven't found the attachent on Amazon, I've only found it in a local hobby shop - If you are lookign for it, its part number and name is "Blade BLH7911 TX Smart Phone Holder". Its about $15-20 - so . This is great because with this attachment you can attach the screen/monitor that came with the Inductrix to the DX6 without having to go buy FPV goggles or a $100+ new monitor.2) Props - the Inductrix' initial props seem prone to flying off when you crash (accidentally, of course). My brother showed me a quick fix - use a needle and pull sewing thread through the hole in the prop and then slip the prop back on the motor. The width of the thread is enough to keep the prop stuck on the Inductrix firmly. This has worked like a charm.3) Spare props and frames are pretty cheap - get some! :) While I haven't switched to a new frame yet, I did manage to break a total now of three of the struts in my Inductrix' frame. E6000 glue fixed the frame, but admittedly my initial frame is a little wonky now. The Inductrix still flies great though! So while I have a spare frame on hand, I haven't yet switched to it. but I will soon.Which leads to #4 ---4) Get a frame stiffener! Really, really, get a frame stiffener! My bro also suggested I buy a frame stiffener for my Inductrix. And after I broke (and glued) my first strut, I ordered the $5 carbon fiber frame stiffener. I broke 2 more structs before it arrived - but since I added the frame stiffener to my Inductrix, I haven't broken another strut.5) Great prop guards! I think the Inductrix has the best prop guards of any design I've seen - the full coverage of the guards does an awesome job of protecting the motors and props from damage. It, and the drone's light weigh also means that if you hit someone or something, they aren't hit or hurt by the props. This definitely helps make the Inductrix a great indoor FPV drone. Two minor 'cons' -6) Get a lot of batteries :) I'd say the one 'con' is that the Inductrix only flies for about 3-4 minutes with a 200 or 250ma battery. And the batteries seem to take about 30-45 minutes to recharge. I have whole bunch of CrazyPony batteries now, and they are doing great.7) If you hit the ceiling, hard, you can inadvertently hit the camera's channel button on top of the Inductrix, change the camera's channel, and on your FPV screen, you will 'lose' the camera feed and be flying blind. I guess the moral is, don't crash it hard into the ceiling.Summary - I couldn't be more pleased with my Inductrix! Its taken a lot of crashes, but still is flying. Its nimble, the FPV makes you feel like you yourself are flying, and its just so gosh-darn cute! (like a Minion crossed with a humming bird )

Excellent beginner to intermediate first person video (fpv) drone
Overviewgreat beginner to intermediate drone (though I have been flying ‘copters and drones for a few years my skills are fairly basic. I have a blade mcx2 and multple estes nano quads). Ready to fly (rtf) kit included everything required to fly with or without video.Pros-lightweight – useful because many bumps\minor crashes and yet no issues-easy to fly line of sight-easy to fly FPV video. ...expensive way to get enter video flight and a new challenge to see if you have the skills\like video only flight-aggressive mode to dail-up the experience. Not 3d but bank angles pretty steep and allow for some speed-everything included to begin and learn video flight for 149.00-easy to setup start playingCons-no real manuals, only folded papers thrown together in box. Also, upon reading, not the usual level of explanation. For example if I choose to use my spektrum dx6 controller no mention of how to set it up-one battery included (4 mins flight time). This is pretty normal so buy extra batteries !!!-signal strength not great. Difficult to fly in different rooms due to video and control signal loss (as soon as you get good at video flight you’ll want to fly down nearby hallways and/or next room but difficult as video and control get flaky)Conclusionif you want to start into the world of hobbyist video flight this is an excellent place to start. Everything is included for one price and my quad is forgiving of learning curve mistakes (within reason). Lots and lots of fun… go for it!!!

Huge chunk of crap.
Huge chunk of crap. I have a veritable air force of cheap Chinese drones. This one is bottom of the barrel and over 4x the most expensive. Take your pick on the flaws: poor flight time, poor control, poor power, fragile, it has them all. I've owned many horizon products over the years, this is easily the worst.UPDATE: I contacted horizon specifically on the poor flight time issues and they did send a replacement that does perform better as far as flight times go. That being said, the stock controller is still woefully inadequate. I bought a specktrum DXe which has made a huge difference on how it flies.I would also suggest not using the stock battery, removing the canopy and using an aftermarket camera mount(weight savings), changing out the standard charging plug and getting a frame stiffener to make it more durable and rigid in flight. If all of that is done - you will end up with a good flyer.

Indoor-Spass
