SteelexD2476 Riffler Rasp Set, 8-Piece

I was excited about ordering this riffler rasp set that I ordered 2 sets from reading a review from someone who teaches soapstone carving classes. I was truly highly disappointed with every piece in the set. They didn’t stand up to the soapstone. I truly waisted my money and would not recommend them to anyone. Sorry, but that’s how I truly feel, highly disappointed. So in saying that, they were inexpensive and I would rate them worth about $1-$2 Canadian per piece. I guess you get what you pay for ! A learning experience for sure 😁

I am not too satisfied with this equipment. Given the number of pieces I was expecting more variety in the tip shapes. The tools are not as effective at grinding away the soapstone as one would think, because the metal is very sturdy allowing you too apply pressure, but the teeth don't have much bite.

The rifflers came right away. It’s exactly what I wanted. I teach soapstone carving and these are perfect for my students.
