The water marks on my vehicle were tap water and the fact that the water PH was relatively high. This leaves very visible marks on the surface. This product removed them with ease.

My husband's car was parked by a sprinkler, and we have very hard water, which left water spots horribly on the right side hood fender and partially on the door. I had tried vinegar and other products to try to remove it to no avail. We were told it would have to be professionally buffed out. I received this product today and used it only on the hood and the upper part of the metal between the driverside door and windshield. It completely removed the water spots!! You do have to use a little elbow grease if they are really stuck on there, aka baked on, but it worked and is totally worth the effort! I read comments prior to purchase, and the bad reviews stated it only smells like vinegar, which it does, but I can smell other chemicals in this bottle. As others have commented, this is more than glorified vinegar.

My black truck had to sit outside after getting ceramic coated. I followed instructions to not wash but lightly spray off for major things like bird droppings that could not sit on the paint. After the first was nearly 3 weeks later, I realized I had a pretty significant water spotting issue. Especially on the roof. Washing and light buffing did not help. After doing a bit of research, I found Gtechniq W9 to be highly recommended by several. I'd used some of their other products and the price was right so I gave it a shot. Magic. Significant mineral deposits that were not coming off came off immediately. I let the product sit for no more than 10 seconds, wiped right off and it vanished. Amazing. Highly recommend this product.

It's ok at what it does, but I wonder if it's worth the money? You still need to apply a fair bit of effort to remove any water stains and I don't know if it's more effective than any other spot remover/detailer that you could use for small areas. Anyway, I've given it a try and it does work, just not sure that I'll buy it again.

Was hoping this simple product would work on my dark blue Mercedes van as I watched it on a YouTube video. It had been ceramic coated, but developed bad water spots. nothing else removed (vinegar did nothing alone). It does take quite a bit of rubbing and applications. Each time the spots got less until the third application did take it off and looks great again. It was a lot of hand rubbing and product (will have to order more), but the detailer said they would have had to buff it out ($500.) and then reapply ceramic coat. Hopefully the coating is till intact and does bead up nicely after a ceramic detailer was applied after the w-9. So far, pleased even though a lot of work with carefully washing, drying and the applications. No way to tell without trying!
