Worx String Trimmer Cordless 3.0 20V PowerShare 12" Edger & Weed Trimmer (Battery and Charger Not Included) WG163.9

Spent the last two years complaining about my Greenworks string trimmer and how the auto line-feed never auto-fed..... EVER. Greenworks customer service... wasn't. But I had two other Greenworks tools running the same batteries. Thought about another Greenworks trimmer . But Einstein was right....I found this WORX string trimmer on Amazon but was hesitant to add ANOTHER charger and ANOTHER battery to the mix. But it turns out it runs the same 20V batteries as my WORX mini vacuum and WORX power drill. PLUS.... the string trimmer works PERFECTLY. WIN-WIN!!Design people could have had a little better "hinge" feature. There is no unlock - move- lock" feature to the rotating head. You just hold the head in place and move the handle up and down. The "wratchet" sound as you move the head say the gears will wear out quickly. Plus... nowhere in the manual does it tell you to REMOVE the little black screw on the underside. I figured it out.... and these complaints are minor!That said... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trimmer. Both the cutting and edging features worked flawlessly right out of the box. The telescoping arm feature allows for tight spaces and people of all heights. The battery is the size and weight of a bar of soap. I spent the better part of hour trimming raised beds, driveways and patio edges on my 8500 sf lot. I should have bought this a year ago!My only real "complaint" is the line feed button is a bit awkward to use . My thumb and index finger were already being used. I need another index finger :>} But that complaint really is minor. This trimmer is PERFECT for the normal bevy of residential weeds, vines and grasses.

I've been through way too many string trimmers before I found this one!This trimmer is very light and runs quite a while with it's battery pack, certainly enough for my 3000 sq-ft lawns. The string payout system is outstanding; Far easier than other trimmers. It's also quick to change orientation for edging or weed-whacking. Once in a while I'll get a bind on the string spool but it's rare and only takes 10 seconds to fix without tools: This is also much better than the other trimmers I've used.Trimmer line can be found fairly cheap (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FT3GXFF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title).The blower is also a gem. It's also light weight and uses the same battery pack as the trimmer. The set comes with 2 battery packs and a charger.I urge you to toss your existing trimmer and invest in this one!

I received this today, assembled it and put it to use immediately. The battery had enough charge to do what I needed. You will not cut down a forest with this weed eater but for small job, great deal. My one complaint is that I placed this order on Saturday and it did not ship until Tuesday. I ship on Amazon on a daily basis for work and when I get an order, it goes out the same day or next morning. I really do not understand the delay. I would love to give the shipper 1 star!

This product is always an amazing weed trimmer and easy to use. I feel bad that the Amazon Chat-folks were not understanding that I ordered two of the WORX Weed Trimmer (special with two batteries each) unfortunately one of the two weed trimmers sets was missing a battery. I was on hold for a little while trying to see how to get a single battery sent to me, instead the chat service person decided to give me the trimmer with one battery and fully refund my purchase for one unit. As I tried to ask if I could return the weed trimmer package they said no, to keep it.. All I was asking was to get a single battery. ... I received a full refund not what I was asking for...

I used to use the big awkward, heavy, noisy, smelly trimmers. But years ago I tried the WORX and loved it...No more backache, ringing ears, smelly gas and breakdowns.I bought this to replace that old WORX trimmer (which still works but was getting a little wobbly...This newer mode is slightly larger but still very light and easy on my back. It handles all my light / medium trimming....and edging....Very little noise.Big gas trimmers are an absolute waste ....This WORX trimmer will easily handle most homeowner needs.

I took a chance on buying this and it turns out I'm glad I did.I own a gas powered Echo 225 and the Worx doesn't replace it but neither can the Echo replace the Worx.The Worx is light weight and maneuverable and is a lot more powerful than I thought it would be. It's great for making my front lawn look well maintained. I can even do a lot of the jungle clearing in my backyard but slower than the Echo.I'm surprised that the batteries don't last very long and it's hard to tell when I need to feed it more line. Those are the only criticisms I have and they aren't big ones. I haven't had it long enough to know how hard it is to restring it. I just hope it's not as hard as some trimmers are.I don't like to spend money when I don't have to, and I'm like that to a fault, but having two trimmers makes a lot sense. I did the front of my house today and it looks a lot better than what I could do with the heavy gas powered Echo.My only regret is that I wish I had bought this sooner.
