No, it takes 3.4mm cartridges only. You can purchase hongdian or wingsung cartridges for it.

Q: Will the bent tip work with left-handed writers?

The tip bends up like all standard fountain pens, not bend to either side, u may adjust a bit to find right spot to get ink flowing but I'm right handed and have that issue with all fountain pens. And this is a good one.

The pen you linked to is the Forest series, which is slimmer and the overall shape is much more of a perfect cylinder (rather than the "equator"/ circumference bulging out, like this Hongdian 525). Also, the "bent nib" versions are NOT the same nib - the Forest series has an aggressive bend which allows for a lot more variation in your stroke width if you know how to use it properly. Unfortunately, the more aggressive the bend angle, the more difficult the pen is to use. These HongDian 525s on the other hand have only a very small bend (called a mini Fude tip in Japan) which makes them more manageable. HOWEVER... there is a matte black version of the 525 which does NOT have the mini Fude tip, and has an aggressive angle like the Forest pens do. Basically, if you're looking to get a bent nib (I think they're pretty awesome if you don't have a calligraphy flex nib) then just pay close attention to how the pictures look. Ah, and the final difference between the 525 and the Forest pens is the texture. The 525s are smooth matte finish metal. The Forest pens have a grippy knurling texture in the main body of the pen. The texture is like a toned down version of the texture on barbells at the gym.
