Canon EOS 7D MK II (Expanded Guides) Paperback – June 1, 2015

I shoot a lot of photos, but I'm no professional. I prefer my shots to be interesting and technically decent however, and that's what led me to purchase a 7D Mark II just before the holidays. My 5D Mark II just wasn't up to the task of shooting high speed sports images in low-light conditions. It gave me wonderful images. But I missed out on a lot due to its inability comprehend what I was requiring with the auto spot focus. I spent way too much on the body. But since I did, the book is a way to optimize what I invested in. I'm starting at the beginning and working my way through it. I downloaded the manual and have figured out how to do most of the necessary things. Finding myself at a loss during an assignment at night really bites. This manual is colorful, and the writing is engaging. The only downside might be a lack of specifics in the particular elements you might need to understand. But the author definitely knows what's going on and what the his readers need to know. I'll drag it along with me in my camera backpack just in case I have a situation that threatens to derail my sanity. The chapter on flash is pretty comprehensive, and I know I'll be reading and rereading it on the fly.

The book is OK and it's a hard copy verses David Busch's which is only in Digital form. So with it being a printed book it's easier to look up specific things.

This is a thorough and well organized book to help pros and beginners alike with this complex camera

No where near the information that David Busch puts in his books. I could not even find items - like back button focus- his terminology is useless to me!! It is better than nothing and a bit better than th eCanon book but not much - I do not recommend it!! Purchase if you have nothing else-

Really great in-depth manual. Easier to use than the Canon version.

I haven't read the entire book yet but from what I've read it's not bad, not great but not bad, at least not as boring as the user manual. It would be a better read if the author wrote it more from a user experience perspective, a this is how you do it perspective, instead of an interpretation of the factory manual, but again, not a bad book...

Being relatively new to the world of DSLR Photography, I found this book easy to get on with, not only with the initial setting up and understanding of my camera, but also as a general reference afterwards.

It is a good book for Canon 7D Mark 2, clear and brief description, beautiful print quality. I will recommend this book, who want to learn fundamental of this camera operation.

full of information on the camera that the book that comes with it does not cover. One of the re-viewers complained that it was trying to sell other produce from the canon ranger. What it is doing is advising you on the differing types of lens that are available, so that you don't waste your money on a lens that is no use for what you want it for. Which I found very use full, for example it was saying if you bought a particular canon macro lens it didn't work as well, as this other canon lens, as its magnification was 5x1. Which to me is advice, as to not getting me to buy a lens I don't want or need.

Great book. Can't wait to practice what I am learning when I finally receive my camera.
