Pretty good stuff
This crankset seems to be decently high quality, and should be capable of making your wheels turn as is so often the goal with bicycles. Looks alright too.My only wish is that the square taper part was made out of some sort of hardened material. I put these on a bike and apparently did not use enough torque on the left side crank, so after about 9 miles it worked its way off. At that point it had apparently been permanently damaged, because no amount of force would get it to stay on for more than a mile or so after that. I even stripped the threads on the bolt trying to get it tight enough to stick. So instead of replacing the damaged crank arm, which was almost brand new, I just used some blue Locktite on a new bolt and it has stayed on perfectly for many miles since. Which reminds me, it wouldn't hurt to make the bolt out of hardened steel or something so it wasn't so easy to pull the threads right off. I mean the crank wrench does give you a good bit of torque but I didn't get too ridiculous with it.TL;DR: Don't be an idiot like me, tighten these on well the first time so you don't damage them.

They're "alright"
Looks great on the bike just glancing at it. Crank arms bow out in the middle a little bit and if you're running sneaker style velcro straps (retrospec straps are what I have) it snags the lip of the velcro and pulls it up when you pedal. That's a little annoying. I changed the crank from one bike to another using an XLC puller (great puller by the way) and it smashed in the material a bit by the spindle. That's kinda wack too. One of the chainring bolts stripped real easily when I tried to flop the ring from one side to the other. The crankset is heavy too. I tried a cheap Vilano crank prior to this and I think you're better off just spending the extra money and getting a quality crank.

good but some let downs
A good looking product of good quality for the job however with one bug bear.. there is no spot facing to seat the five retaining screws in a centred position which means that some play might develop if this product was actually used for its intended purpose, a fixed gear bike. With all the stresses and strains which fixed gear use places on a chainring, you don't want any slack in the system. An easy fix which would add about 3 seconds to the CNC work per unit but would improve the product 100%. The five retaining screws are also cheap crap aluminium which should be replaced with steel.Other than that cranks are great for their intended purpose.

My thoughts on the Projekt Fixie 44T 170
I recently bought a 2012 SE Draft, and have set about upgrading parts that I feel could be better. One of the first things that had to go were the heinous plastic pedals with the reflectors (what, am I 12 years old?) - and I was glad that I came across this crankset.Once I was able to wrestle the factory installed crankset (note: SE Racing knows how to attach a crankset!!) from the bicycle, I did a rough weight estimate and just the left stock crank arm from the Draft weighs about the same as the entire Projekt Fixie crankset + the origin8 pro track pedals I picked up to mate with this set.The bike looks great with the new crankset, the pedals are a great match if your in the market. I would buy these again without a hestitation

durability at a great price
I was so hesitant before buying this. I had my bike for about 6 months before the original crank arm fell off. I'm pretty sure it comes down to me not doing the whole "tighten the screws after the first couple of short rides" thing. My favorite thing is that the arm (on the drive side) doesn't sit over any of the chain ring screws. If you are concerned about quality...don't be. This is genuinely a great product, and I don't hesitate to recommend it. Also, I was super glad to see that it comes with crank screws...because there are sets on here that are 3 times as much and still don't include screws.

Bulletproof as of right now
The reviews of this part failing has to be party the fault of the installer. You must use polylube grease at the crank and loktite at the pedals you do this the threads will be conditioned to not fail believe me 3 years of commuting to work on my fixie I put it through its paces I even will jump off a curb or 2 Im not beach cruising! This part surpassed my expectations I actually was thinking that id have to replace this sooner or later I have a more expensive crank in the garage for backup I havent used yet.

Great For the Money
It's a good crank set for the money.Pros:- Durable and well built.- Anodized color looks good.- Quality components- Low costCons:- Only comes in 44T- Uses 110mm Bottom BracketWould easily be a 5 star product if it had 46T or 48T options and used wider bottom bracket. 110mm is hard to find in my neck of the woods. You can order one from their website projektfixie.com.

strong crankset
I have put roughly 300 miles on this particular part and have only minor issues with it. When I tried to install this crank the chain line was not aligned so I had to move the chainring to the opposite side of the crank. The crank itself is solid and strong, i have put it through the ringer and it stays normal. I am happy with this purchase.
