Factory foamed, lubed, and works with Linux - perfect!
The RK68 is a great beginner board if you're just getting into the hobby of mechanical keyboards. It's easy to mod, comes with all the bells and whistles stock, and works for any office/personal environment. I bought this with the intention to make this my portable keyboard, as it was lightweight and had all the features I needed. This is used between a PC, MAC, and a couple of linux boxes. It connects fine to all devices, even when running bluetooth. Haven't tested with my Raspberry Pi, but I don't think it's going to be an issue there. It's 2023 and surprisingly only a few are mentioning that this already comes foamed and lubed out of the box. When replacing the keycaps and switches, i noticed that the stabs had a decent amount of lube on them, so there was no rattle. Even the spacebar was quiet - they had filled the plate gap with foam to prevent dust and minimize rattle. Removing the keycaps and switches, I could see there was definitely foam between the plate and PCB - a pleasant surprise. The back also doesn't sound as hollow, so I'm guessing they added foam to fill the space where the battery is, as well. I was already happy with the sound and feel, so I skipped the tape mod and only replaced the keycaps and swapped out the reds for Gateron Milky Yellows. It sounds and feels fantastic. Just calling out that this is LED (single blue light) and not RGB. It’s also dual mode - Bluetooth and wired - with no USB dongle. So if both items are important for you, look elsewhere. This board has the potential to sound however you like, depending on how you tune it. It all comes down to preference. But for what you're getting out of the box and for that price - it's a great everyday keyboard at an incredible starter value with a lot of potential down the road.

First mechanical keyboard - and I like it!!!
Coming from a very cheap Logitech keyboard and have never spent more than $20 on a keyboard. Just didn't see the need, but the old one wore out to the point that there were literally no bumps on the J and F keys, making touch typing annoying. Took a chance on this after sifting through a few reviews on Amazon and elsewhere. Very happy with the product. Solid keys. Hefty. Easy to set up the blue lights to the brightness I wanted. Nice sound with the red switches. A few extra red switches in the box - apparently in case a switch or two die. Hopefully, that's just a nice thing and it won't ever happen, but it's a nice touch. One of my goals was to shrink the size of the keyboard, and boy does this do that. It is so small compared to the full size keyboard I just replaced that it fits without any finagling on my space-challenged Ikea corner desk. Not planning to use Bluetooth any time soon, so nothing to say about that functionality, but I'm happy with the purchase. Very nice keyboard for the money.

Not for me - but a fantastic keyboard none the less
Long story short, while this keyboard really impressed me, the layout wasn't for me to use on a day to day basis due to the shorter right shift key. Some backstory: I'm a software developer that casually plays single player games, and before this purchase was using a Ducky One 2 TKL with cherry MX browns. I bought this keyboard as I wanted a (relatively) cheap option to test a number of things: - if a 65% layout suited me - if white would suite my desktop setup - if I liked linear switches - a switch testing base for the future (including starting getting into lubing switches to see if I could notice a difference) If none of those applied, I figured it could just be a small enough keyboard that I could carry around with me to family houses when I fix their computers so I don't have to deal with a standard membrane keyboard. The keyboard itself feels very rigid and well put together - and the backlight really impressed me in terms of how bright it was. Coming from tactile switches, the switches took a couple of days to adjust, but once I had I don't think I could go back. Obviously this is just a personal preference so probably not that useful. I only noticed input lag with the bluetooth connection when the battery would start running low - which in my experience would last about a day of pretty constant use when using no backlight, or about half a day when using medium to high backlight. I found that I couldn't charge it with another charger, and use the bluetooth functionality at the same time due to the input lag, and not charging quickly enough, but when plugged into the machine it was usable like a regular keyboard and charged as well. It can save 3 bluetooth profiles for easily switching between different devices. I tried connecting it to Windows 10, Mac OS, Linux Mint, and a Motorola phone, with no issues. Switching between a windows keyboard layout and mac keyboard layout, while not automatic, was painless and worked as expected. The Mac/Windows layout functionality is seperated from the bluetooth profiles, so as an example if you have a windows computer as profile 1), and a mac computer as profile 2), it would require you to switch your layout when switching between them. Out of the box, the keycaps felt good on the touch, and the typing experience as a whole was pleasant, however once I lubed the switches I found that it really took it up a notch. I didn't feel the need to download or use the software for the keyboard - so I can't comment on that, and my only criticism of this keyboard is a completely personal one - I couldn't get used to the 65% layout. The shorter right shift key meant that when I would often hit the Up key by mistake, and I missed my Home and End buttons much more than I was expecting to. Despite this, I still used this keyboard rather than my previous one as I loved the linear switches, and the rigidity of the keyboard until I bought another keyboard - a glorious GMMK TKL with lubed gaderon yellows. If the RK87 offered hot swapable switches I would have had no hesitation with going with that instead if it offered the same kind of experience as this keyboard offered me. While it wasn't perfect for me, I would still recommend this keyboard. I still kept it after purchasing the glorious as the RK68 is super portable, I can easily switch between multiple computers using bluetooth, and I can live with the layout when not using it on a day to day basis. For long term use, I'm not sure it would be fair for me to ever comment on this, based on how infrequently I now use this keyboard.

You won’t regret buying it...
Honestly, unless they had an actual physical problem with the keyboard, idk why there’s any bad reviews. If you’re looking at a $60 keyboard then chances are you’re not an enthusiast, but want a solid mechanical keyboard and honest to god this keyboard is exactly that and then some...sturdy and very good to look at...the rgbs are adjustable, i like mine off because i’m not really an LED, color everywhere type of person but if you are then this is even better...the keys are a little thin but not a problem at all....but for $20 i got some DSA keys to replace them and it made this board even better. I suggest throwing some O rings on for a more “Quiet” sound but it’s not necessary. Anyways a great keyboard, especially for the price. Highly Recommend!

Great wireless keyboard
This keyboard works great. Great value for being wireless with alternate mapping. I was using this split between pc and a Mac and was able to map for the different modifier keys.

Everything works nicely but I didn't expect the first keys to be like this cause I didn't look at the pictures close enough. They still work but it's just a hassle to press ctrl+fn and then press it again to untoggle. Also reminder that this isn't the rgb one it's the one with one light cause I kinda didn't read it properly. And the 'white' light doesn't match the rest of my setup well.

This is a great starter keyboard for anyone new to gaming keyboards like me. Good price (I got it on sale) for the performance and it's very pleasing to the eye as well. I got the red switches, but I do regret not getting the blue, as the red sound a bit different in person than in the video demonstration. The only downside is that it can be a little confusing to use at first with the bluetooth and online set-up app. Other than that, I love it. It comes with a keycap remover and removes the keys easily, and very simple instructions. It came quickly and in great condition. Highly recommend.
