I would not buy this product again, personally. I gave them three stars because everything they outlined within the tool group came. I clamped a drill guide to faciliate drilling a straight hole. The drill grabbed about three-quarters of the way through the hardened aluminum and bent the derailleur hanger bottom tang. This rendered the derailleur useless. Since this is on a custom Velomobile drive train, I had to have a custom derailleur hanger fabricated. (I had two made.)

I have an aluminum frame handcycle that does not have a derailleur hanger. Therefore, when the derailleur "de-threaded" the hole, I needed a solution in order to get back up and running.The drill bit performed nicely. The shorter of the dropout saver worked -- albeit I had to do some filing due to the nature of the frame. All-in-all, I was very pleased to be back on the bike.I have put a few thousand miles on the bike since adding the dropout saver. Overall, the steel dropout saver is far better than the aluminum threading in that the derailleur does not constantly loosen as it did before.

Easy to install and stays secure.

Works perfectly and saved my Dahon folding bike. Took less than five minutes -- great product.
