I really like this scope
The Kahles K624i is built like a tank. The Eye box is generous as far as off axis viewing is concerned. My Swarovski Z6i is a tad better in this regard, but the optics clarity seem better on the Kahles. Exploring shadows is better on the K624 than my S&B PMii. The significantly long tube must help in this regard. Love the SKMR3 reticle. Turrets tracked mostly perfect over the grid. Return to center was right on. I don't really use windage knobs and prefer holdovers, so buying the scope with the left side knob didn't appeal to me. That is however an option. Parallax works very well and I like the knob position, but it was a tad stiff to rotate. Illumination knob and rheostat smoothness is awesome! I detest illumination that goes on/off/on/off. No - I don't care if I'm on 5 or 7 brightness. The illumination knob just works on the Kahles. Reticle brightness is visible even against the glare of a white snowbank. Only the Z6i bests it. What don't I like? The vertical elevation seems to require a 40 moa base in order to get the full 2 turns out of the knob. My flat base topped out at about 11-ish mils. Odd problem but easy to fix. Adequate but not spectacular zoom range. No 2ndary turret detents like my Premier Reticles scope. Very HEAVY - with my Spuhr mount. All that said, I'd rate it a 9 out of 10...among the best of the best for the $$$ spent.

$3000 Beautiful Lemon
Purchased this scope for my husband, incredible scope clarity, my husband says it's the best glass he's ever looked through, great turrets but it feels like a fragile scope. I didn't want to get this scope, I wanted the Steiner Military because this one to me looks like a delicate ballerina and just as light. It's the lightest high magnification scope I believe and it just looks and feels fragile to me. My husband sighted the scope on a Scar 17 and on a Bolt .308 and loved the clarity of the optic, everyone did until the next day when 2-3 spots appeared next to the reticle and the 2 more spots for a total of 5 with one of the spots right next to the cross hairs which distracts from getting a good sight picture. He tried cleaning it but it was inside the tube. Got in touch with Swarovski snd they said to send it in and "IF OUR TECHS DEEM" it's a defect, we'll repair it. How nice, "if they deem it a defect". Well, what if they don't, now we have a $3000 lemon? It's supposed to be static or just debris/particles but we could care less what it is and the excuses, we didn't give Swarovski any excuses when we paid for the scope. The store we bought it from is taking care of us and we're waiting to see what Swarovski/Kahles does but outside of them shipping me a brand new one, I want nothing to do with this company again. I don't know anyone on this planet stupid enough to pay $3000 for a scope and then live with flaws or excuses. Had they said something like, "Send it in and we're shipping you a new one" then we would have known they stand by their product. Other companies have done this and we've been loyal to them for life. We shoot with a few people and none of them will think about a Kahles K624i after the garbage they experienced floating inside the scope. This is going back for a Steiner Military or possibly a Razor Gen II since we already own one and are pleased with it. Sure, incredible glass and clarity, blows away our Razor but at least our Razor works and it's not sitting in a box like a fragile ballerina. Kahles/Swarovski had a chance to make things right but they have to "deem it a defect" in order to repair it.
