Kessaku 7-Inch Flexible Fillet Knife - Spectre Series - Forged Japanese AUS-8 High Carbon Stainless Steel - Pakkawood Handle with Blade Guard

I just got this knife a few hours ago. It is beautiful, and well balanced. At first, I thought it was not sharp - I felt the edge and it didn't have that "razor feel" - but then, I used it to filet a fish. WOW! It was really sharp, just sliced through the flesh like it was butter. I think they have put such a smooth edge on it that you can't feel that razor catch when you run your finger across it. REALLY great knife at a reasonable price. Can't ask for more than that.

The good- knife is really sharp and holds an edge pretty well. The bad- starting to rust after one use. I cleaned the knife thoroughly immediately after using it and was shocked to see rust spots a week later. Also the sheath is poor quality and dangerous. When sliding the knife in the sheath the knife blade comes out the side of the sheath and once right into the palm of my hand. Took a while for the bleeding to stop.

Crack in the blade. Contacted customer support and no response. So returning to Amazon after 5 days. Nice filet knife but bad customer service and quality control. Wouldn't buy again nor should you.

I used right out of the box it’s already sharp and the quality is better than any fillet knife I have ever used and I’ve used a lot will buy from the company again

What a Beautiful Knife, tad heavy but well balanced; Arrived 1 day early !So far I am VERY pleased with not only Kessaku but the promptness of delivery ~ Have a feeling I FOUND my new 10yr (maybe more) Goto Fillet knife. Living near 3 of the Great Lakes .... I know a thing or two about my fillet knives, this is one to check out !!!
