Works like a charm
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it outputted the full refresh rate of the monitor at 144hz from my MacBook Pro 2020. HDMI was able to do only 120hz and that was with an adapter. It works as intended but I do wish it did power delivery through thunderbolt like usb-C does. I’m happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it. Beats having to carry around an hdmi adapter for MacBooks.EDIT: January 2025 - about 1.5 years after purchase it stopped working.

Monitor doesn't turn on after waking from sleep. Have to reinsert it make it work.
It worked great for the first 1.5 to 2 years. Now, I suspect it's not letting my mac's monitor turn on after it wakes from sleep, sometimes. I have to reinsert the cable to my mac mini, like 2 out of 4 times to make the monitor turn on again. It's an inconvenience, but not a dealbreaker.

The Product works well with my LG27GN95R. although the monitor have crappy colours but the cable works well

Very good quality
Used it to connect my LG Ultreagear 34 inch curved to my laptop (cause HDMI doesn't support 160 Hz at 4k resolution). Works great

Truly Bi-Directional (RTX 3070 DP + Gigabyte M28U USB-C)
I connected my PC with RTX 3070's Display Port to my monitor Gigabyte M28U's USB-C port using this cable. It is actually working on 4K 120hz at 10-bit color. Clearly, this cable is DP 1.4 capable and does it's magic due to DSC (Display Stream Compression). I was also able to connect my iPad 2021 Pro's USB-C port to M28U's Display Port to get Display mirroring. So the claim that this cable is Bi-directional stands true.I also tested 4K 144Hz YCbCr 444 at 10-bit and 12-bit color and this cable has the bandwidth to sustain such high requirements be it gamers or professionals who know their stuff. That's all there is to this cable really. Cable does feel strong and sturdy.1st cable which arrived was faulty. Just refused to work whatsoever. But amazon provided a replacement and that is working as expected. Just test it out by yourself in your return period and don't assume it will work for you.
