Q: Is this mat really over 1/2"? I just returned a mat that claimed to be a thicker 1/2" and it was a little over 1/4" only.

Yes it is 1/2 inch thick great support for your back it’s the thickest mat I have ever used for core training.

Q: Can you do burpees on this?

Yes I workout with T-25 and I do burpees all the time with it.
