Look no further, No-Lag Hunter.
I have been, for almost 10 years now, looking for the best ways to modernize my retro console setups. I have slowly, over the years, accepted that CRT displays are only becoming more and more rare. And that our wired controllers will degrade, and even with new parts and upkeep, still eventually stop feeling right or correct, and become ultimately obsolete. The biggest issue for me playing and loving these retro consoles, is lag with modern displays and wireless tech. Playing games like Mega Man X, and other precision platformers, is simply a pain in the ass with lag, especially for the tried and true retro gamers that play them a LOT and feel even the tiniest lag, like myself. It can make these games feel unplayable. Even official re-releases have these lag issues.Look no further, friend. I have tried many displays and wireless controllers. 8bitdo never disappoints. The SN30 Pro and Pro 2 have long been in my hands, and I picked this SN30 up for my SNES... I am impressed. I DID have to update the firmware. Initially, I had a good feel of lag on the controller. I was playing this, hooked into an original US NES, running via HD Retrovision Component cables to my RetroTink 4K, into my LG B4 OLED. I felt the lag, just slight, but it was there. AFTER updating the firmware, it is much better, if not eliminated. THE UPDATE IS IMPORTANT.It is the best feeling third party controller I have found to date. It is hard to pick a favorite between 8bitdo, Retrobit, and Retrofighters, as all have their pros and cons. But out of them all, 8bitdo is always my first choice when it's available - I own 4 of their controllers now, and I love them all.

Get it!
If you're hesitant to try this controller, don't be. It's better than the original because it's cable free. This is every bit as on point as the original in every way.

8Bit do is worth it.
So great I bought one for my NES too. I swear it responds faster than my wired SNES controller clone.

Works Great on Original Hardware
Bought one of these to replace the old second hand SNES controllers I was using. The only noticeable differences right away is a very slight difference in weight, and it has convex buttons like on the Super Famicom. The receiver worked with no problems. I don't have any fancy way of testing lag, but I used it to play Donkey Kong Country on a CRT and couldn't notice any.Seeing as I've only had the controller a couple hours, I haven't been able to do any sort of stress testing, but I've been buying 8bitdo controllers for years and never had any problems with durability or battery life.

Nice addition to my SNES
I'm really liking this controller. It feels just like an og SNES controller, just modernized with wireless tech like newer ones. It works well, so far no issues with connections or input lag. I'm probably gonna grab another one in the other color.
