KidiRace RC Remote Control Fire Engine Truck, Rechargeable RC Car, Durable, Easy to Control

When I was deciding whether to purchase this I was encouraged by all the positive reviews... but discouraged that the vast majority of them were incentivized. I decided to give it a try anyway. This motivated me to leave my own review, since there may be others out there in the same situation.Bottom line: This is a fantastic product. It was a birthday gift for my 3 year old son who is now having a hard time fending off his brother, sister, & Dad (me) who all want to play with it all the time.Unboxing: It took only minutes from the time he opened the present to the time he was driving it around the front room. I love that it came pre-charged and ready to go. It comes with 2 AA batteries for the remote. Stick those in, turn on the remote, turn on the car... and you're ready to go.My favorite thing about it is how well it handles all terrain. There is no trouble transitioning from our tile, to our raised area rug, to our thick hallway carpet. It handles different surfaces and bumps along the way with no issue at all. The top speed was also surprisingly fast to me.It is also durable. This is my 3 year old's first remote control vehicle so he isn't the best driver (: He spends most of the time driving it straight into walls, dressers, and chairs. But that's no concern with how well built the car is.Finally, the sounds are awesome! Two trigger buttons on the remote allow you to cycle through various sirens, honks & music.So far I can't find a single thing to say about this product that isn't great. I will edit this review if something does come along.

I bought this for my son's birthday gift. Before buying this I looked at a lot of RC toys for younger kids. This was best suited for what I wanted to get my son.My main concerns with a low cost RC toy are:1) Rechargeable batteries.2) Simple controls.3) Will it run on Carpet.4)Indoor/Outdoor use.I'll review one by one.Rechargeable batteries are important to me because I knew my kid would want to use this a lot. And I didn't want to waste AAA and AA batteries on a RC car. A lot of the other brands require that or a separate battery pack and charger up to about $40 additional (depending because some brands were only $15 additional). The battery on this is advertised to last 30 minutes on a full charge. The way my kid uses it I think it would last longer. Right now his attention is lost before it is completely discharged. The charge time is advertised as 3-4 hours in the manual. I think the longest it has taken so far is about 1 hour. It appears the book is conservative in it's approach.The controls are very simple. 2 Sticks. Left one for forward and back, right one for turns. Two buttons on top for sounds. The weird thing, to me, is that the controls will not work unless you start the engine noise with the left toggle. It will run silently if you cycle through the 3 sound sets. This is fun for the kid but slightly annoying for the parents. The only real complaint I have is that the forward and reverse are simply on and off. There is no gradient. That means the thing runs full speed no matter what. And it runs fast on hard surfaces. So it is a bit frustrating. But not so much I would remove a star.It does run on carpet. My son complains a lot about how it doesn't turn very well on carpet. I think it is just fine. If I had lower pile carpet it would have no issues. It runs slower on carpet. I think the carpet speed is much more suitable for indoor use. In short, it's fine. The wide wheels are just right for carpet. They have enough surface area that it should be fine for most indoors.Indoor/Outdoor. I think this is probably suited to outdoor use slightly over indoor. Simply because the speed is high enough that it needs some space to run. Since it's winter where I live that will have to wait for a while though. Indoor use it just fine though. By the time spring comes I hope my kid gains enough skill with it so he can enjoy it outside in full speed on a smooth surface.Other thoughts:This is not an off-road RC car. It is designed for smooth surfaces. Would work great on low pile carpets or wood floors. I think a clean road surface would be great too.The charging method is a bit weird. You have a door on the bottom with a short cable in it. I think that the cable would have been better coming out of the side of back somewhere. But it works.The controller includes batteries. It also pairs really quick and easy with the truck.

My 3 year old son loves these cars so much! I am so glad we used his Christmas $ on the fire truck and police car. They drive and turn very easily, have a lot of different sounds, and he can race someone with the other car because they don't cross channels( a problem we had with other rc cars made for kids). He is only 3 and crashes the cars into walls and furniture constantly but I have yet to even see a scratch! Well worth our money and highly recommended for the younger age that likes rc cars. Charging didn't take as long for us as the box said, I appreciate that I am not constantly going to Costco for batteries, and by the time the charge is exhausted my son is ready for another activity anyway.

Product is well made. Out of box performance was great, drove straight w/o need to use adjustment which is great feature. Lights and sound are really great features and add to the enjoyment of use of this product. Only improvement I could see is to have a tighter turning radius. Overall, this is a great toy at a reasonable price .

This is a great toy for kids. I bought this for my nephew, the first one didn't work properly, and the seller replaced it immediately. The 2nd one has been running great for 3 months.It has working lights and sirens and engine sound! Not to mention the classic American Hot Rod Style!Not too fast, so no damage when you run it into the wall. Great Sturdy RC car that even I play with when he's not around.

I purchased this gift for my three year old for Christmas. He asked for two things for Christmas. One was for a remote controlled fire engine. He was so excited when he got it because he had told Santa that's what he wanted. After charging it once, it stopped going forward and backwards. The wheels respond, the siren responds and it still lights up. It just won't go anywhere.When I had originally purchased this it had outstanding reviews and I made my purchase based on those reviews. Now I see several other reviews since I purchased it saying how terrible it actually is. Now I guess I'm in the market for another remote controlled fire engine.

All the lights, sounds, music and fafafast !!! nice soft wheels grip well. The controls are intuitive enough for a 4 yr old to quickly assume what turns the sirens / music on and apparently on again, he will however happily have the lights flashing and create his own siren - is the bar open ?!?!?A great toy and all the better as it was playable from the box, toy had enough charge, via micro usb and batteries, 2 AA are included in the box.I would say that the speed of the toy may be too immediate in doors however only adds to the fun in large open spaces.I would have no hesitation recommending this toy and may get him the police car next.He slept with it in beside him the first night, enough said !!!

A lovely toy with sirens and flashing lights as well as being remote control. Bought for my 5 year old grandson for Christmas. He loves it Getting another for another grandson for his 5th birthday.

Great little rc fire truck. Son loves it. Has lights and sounds and feels very good build quality. My son has bashed his many times and it is still unmarked. It seems built to last. Only niggle is the range isn't very far. Goes about 20 metres then loses signal and stops

Stopped working 10 minutes after setting it up recharged it worked for 2 minutes stopped going forward or backwards.Wheels will turn but when I put it on the floor won't propel the truck.You said it was sutable for 3year olds but when it worked it was too fast to allow it to turn in time and did not slow down.

Great quality, very fast, good noises. I love that you charge the engine instead of using batteries, very handy. My son is very pleased. No issues.
