I bought this to go through boxes and boxes of slides,that I took many years ago, and slides that my dad had taken. This is soooo much easier than loading them all into a slide tray, setting up the slide projector and screen. The viewer doesn't take up much room. I chose to use the USB option for power and used my Kindle power supply for the electrical outlet end. It is easy to use and no problems with slides getting jammed, if you use it correctly. Would I recommend for viewing with the family, no. This is great for sorting or quick review of slides that you want to keep or toss.

Clear magnified view of slides and negatives, but not easy to insert slides in the back without looking. Loading slides one-at-a-time is also slow going for review of hundreds of slides. The next model needs a means to load a stack of slides that could be inserted with button push!The optics and magnification are appropriate for quick review...

This is a great little device for personal viewing of slides or film. The LED illumination is bright, even, and just the right color temperature. The build is solid and the eject mechanism works well. I would have given it five stars except for except for two issues. One, the internal walls of the viewing tube are reflective and produce unwanted glare. Two, the lenses out of the box need cleaning. Fortunately, the unit is easy to disassemble. I took it apart and painted the interior surfaces with a flat black paint. I also gave the two lenses a good cleaning. Now I have a five-star device.

Comes with batteries or you may use the included USB cable for power. There is an on/off button and a separate button to eject the slide you are viewing. I have some photo negatives and slides that belonged to my parents. Wanted to identify what they were before tossing. Worked great! I found a few gems on the slides I had never seen. I plan to get prints made. So it was very worth the purchase to me.

Wanted to send old slides for digitizing and needed to review them first. It was a tedious task, but this little unit worked well and was far superior for viewing than holding the slides up to a desk lamp and squinting to see each small picture.
